@@DavidJones-et8vl Honestly, does anyone know what’s news with Patrick Wolf? I miss knowing he’s there on this planet with us, his Wolfpack. Even if he never released another record again, just knowing he’s happy and safe would be cool.
I’m not usually a very nostalgic person but I want to say I miss Patrick so much. I always wish him the best cause he brought some of the most meaningful pieces of art that have been a part of my life.
I first discovered Patrick when I met my partner. 17 years later, 2 children and listening to this has really made me quiet emotional. More Patrick Wolf in 2022 please!
Don't call it nostalgic or else I'll have to admit it was 11 years ago that I saw him at the Tivoli in Brisbane and if it was that long ago I must be old now
God I miss Patrick sm!! He gave me so much joy since like 2005, when Wind in the Wires came out. Whatever he's going thru these days I hope it gets better. Love you. Wolfpack 🖤
this song reminds me of a cold february lambing-time in the hills above lockerbie in scotland. it was on local radio all the time. must have assisted a hundred lambings to this tune, lol x
It's amazing the adoration and hatred that our Mr Wolf inspires. Both City and Time of My Life have a refreshing simplicity to them. Sometimes I feel like he tries a bit too hard but these songs just make me smile. Music isn't always about being original. Just about everything has been done already. Something truly original would probably be quite unlistenable! Making a good pop song is a lot hard than people assume and he's managed it with this.
I really thought it was a 80;s band with a new record when i first heard it, still dont know what it reminds me of... maybe OMD he has that voice.. thanks for posting, great tune...
OMG - Listening to Simon Mayo on Radio 2 and the have just played this song. so glad I was at home so I could google him and and check out all this work. Even my goosebumps had goosebumps, felt like I had gone back 25 years and it was the mid 80`s again. Mr Wolf - I salute you sir. off to Amazon now and then will check out future tour dates. Adele and Patrick - i think its going to be a good year.
@SibERIOUSLY Did you ever think that maybe Patrick doesn't care what kind of love it is? How is straight love really any different from gay love? The song is about overcoming hardships, mainly due to the recession, through love. It's less a direct love song to William than a song saying, "This is what William taught me. He taught me not to let the unimportant things get me down." I know that probably won't make you like it, but it's why I do. ^_^
leave it to patrick to make an amazing 80's throwback without even trying that hard. gotta love it. you can come wish me the top of the morning any day.
Patrick it's always patrick guys, he's the most genuine and talented young artist of the last 8 years. You never know what he's going to write but at the end of the day his music is very very very good!
Thanks NME music channel for putting this on last week,i've now found another fantastic singer & sound.Time of my life is just fantastic also, cant wait to see him if he comes to Norwich.
Love your music, Patrick! I don't stop listening to you all these years. I'm so happy that I've seen you live. I hope, you're doing great. Wish you all the best. -a fan from Russia
I find it ridiculous that this doesn't have millions of views. In a time where women (talented ones) are dominating chart and relevant music scenes, Patrick releases this fantastic song! Always been a fan, and very uplifting to see him uplifted and creating music that's extremely addictive. Spread the word and lets get patrick more recognised!
Does anyone know why Patrick pulled this album from every available platform? I have acquired a digital copy of the album which I have played for years, but I would just assume he get the royalties from it.
Was feeling a bit miserable... then I remembered how happy this video and song makes me. Now I'm tearing up due to the sheer joy of watching this. Thank you Mr Wolf! *muaks*
When I first heard some of Patrick Wolf's songs 5 years ago I didn't really like him and didn't pay any attention to him - I really regret that now, this is nothing short of perfection.
This could be the most 80s sounding song of the last 10 years. The synths, the self-indulgent backing horns, saxophone solos, his voice... all of it. It's obviously a very intentionally crafted sound. Even the video has an 80s summer look, all washed-out skin tones and bold colours. I heard this on the radio today and immediately thought "Woah, is this from 1985?". It totally could be. Needless to say, I like it a lot.
I saw him at get loaded on clapham common. best musician i have ever seen. and he appeared to wear a wedding ring... did he enter a civil patnership with his boyfriend??? :) his music is just so so amazing - never fails to make my day better.
I love this song. I must admit I fell out of love with the Wolf for a little while, but this has brought me back. And really touches on some of my thoughts I've been having about urban life. However, I can't help but feel like this video is an attempt to increase commercial appeal. It's just a bit too... mainstream.
Artists change and he's doing what he wants to do. Personally I love it and think he's as amazing as he's ever been. If you don't like it, don't listen.
Went to his Dublin gig last night with my brother + his friends + it was soooooooooo much fun! It was in a small nightclub so there were about 20 seats + tables, but Patrick navigated through the audience twice (he stood next to a guy + serenaded him during 'Vulture') + during this song he actually stood up on the seat in front of where we were seated. :-D
HE'S BACK I'M SO HAPPY
Still here in 2020. One day you will return, Patrick.
2021, representing.
Every since 2006...still listen to him weekly. Just the best.

Why did he quit? He was so good! Hope he is ok.
I interviewed him on the phone today for my university's newspaper... He's actually the nicest, most wonderful, funny, talented person ever.
I’m not usually a very nostalgic person but I want to say I miss Patrick so much. I always wish him the best cause he brought some of the most meaningful pieces of art that have been a part of my life.
I couldn’t agree more. If I want to remember some of the best times of my life I go back to this song every time…
Absolutely agree. This feels like a completely different world now. His music is too authentic for 2021
I first discovered Patrick when I met my partner. 17 years later, 2 children and listening to this has really made me quiet emotional. More Patrick Wolf in 2022 please!
Same… one husband and 2 kids later this music still resonates with me!!

10 years. still in my heart.
In the 80s this song would've got to number one, and deserved it!
I miss Patrick Wolf so much come back from the war pls
Where Patrick? Whats wrong with him?(((

2 new songs just released and he's touring
Wonderful song!!! I remember hearing this song 12 years ago and feeling completely mesmerized
There's brief moments when he smiles directly at the camera.. just beautiful :)
The voice that I missed. Love from Turkey..
the voice that w all missed!
He is so wonderful. Also, I love when a song makes me instantly happy, it's rare.
Absolutely brilliant song - heard once on the radio - crying shame. Deserves so much airplay
why is this not on spotify??
It's so refreshing to hear the saxaphone in music. There is something so sexy about it. Forgot how much I missed hearing it. Thank you.
I wish my life was this video clip, that would be simply wonderous!
Patrick Wolk one of the most one of the most talented artist and singer of the 2000's. He must deserve must visibility.

this video and this music can still make my day. it's an honour to love you, patrick.
If you had told me one year ago that Patrick Wolf would write a song like this, I wouldn't have believed it.
He's amazing.

It's lovely to see him happy, and it it quite heartbreaking to see people criticising his music for reflecting that!

This song is so joyous and uplifting, how anyone can listen to it and feel anything else is beyond me.

This is a awesome song, like one from old day´s.

very different from older stuff. I love it! also really makes me want summer to come faster.
A return to the flamboyant feel good pop sound of The Magic Position. Brilliant :).
I love this song. I must admit I fell out of love with the Wolf for a little while, but this has brought me back. And really touches on some of my thoughts I've been having about urban life.

Simply brilliant. Not much else I can say.
Heard this on Soccer AM on Saturday - had to look it up. Great track.

AMAZING Patrick!!!
Where were great people like Elly and Patrick when they were needed most... IN THE 80's!!!!!!! :D
