    As a former electric arc welder i can appreciate the welding you have done to put this STUG together i always enjoy watching the reconstruction /restoration/ preservation call it what you like i would just love making things like these. I hate real wars, but some times the machines of war can be fascinating things. I wish that all there destructive potential was confined to battle field theory and the world would not get involved in real wars anymore. Well that my personal perspective on the subject. Everyone comes from a different point of view.

    As a machinist millwright I'm in awe with the way you guys are tackling this project, spot on. I really wish I was there to machine the bits and bobs for this epic endeavor, (yeah I'm jealous).
    Hats off to you lads and all the best, cheers!!

    The only thing better than seeing a Stug come back to life is seeing the hard work and skill required to bring it back to life. Well done.

    I helped restore a Soviet made SU-76 that had been left out in the elements for 50 years but it was "factory fresh" compared to your Stug. Great job!
    Watching your video reminded me to get some welding done on the floor of our Suka we were able to get a prisoner from the local brig released during the daytime to do the work. The museum at Quantico Virginia was on a starvation budget so the use of a brig rat was a good expedient. I sure don't miss the racket of a needle gun though. Merry Christmas guys.

    I've been a motor transport technician and classic car restorer for 35 years, and you are still teaching me new techniques. I look forward to your workshop wednesdays every week. The tiger tank series was amazing. Your workshop guys have great skills, what you have managed to do with completely blown up tanks is nearly unbelievable.

    I started watching with the 1st episode. As I sit and watch this vlog, I ponder as to what the men, in Germany 1939 -1944 would think, if they could see their work being "brought back to life"?

    Hi all . I have been restoring classic cars for about 35 years. So i get the workmanship that go,s into these project. I noticed you guys still use stone grinding wheels. I the pass few years i switch to a 36 grit flap disk. I find they cut and clean the weld much faster. Something you my want to give a try . Keep up the good content and work.

    great insight to the restoration of a tank that most may run away from - but hats off to Beau n dad for the electric gluing back together - super job - it beggars belief that these monsters were mass produced on scale never seen before WWII - the logistics and production must of been off the charts, manufacturing the steel, delivery to manufacturer, cutting and assembly - i can't imagine all the forced labour of the 1940s, it must of been so hard on everyone - bless them all

      ....why remove all of any remaining Grenate ammunition when prepping demolishion charges.

    • @anderoo9260
      @anderoo9260 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@razor1uk610 Maybe they used the explosives from the HE rounds for the demolition charges. Or the vehicle was out of ammunition, or a friendly unit was nearby and the crew got as much ammunition out to give to the others. Or maybe they didn't and the ammo was shredded to pieces and scattered over a surrounding area. There are multiple scenarios that explain that.
