he is just way to damn conservative about things it makes no sense for, last time he was not going to shoot the crystals that add extra turns until tom talked him into it
Paulo Machado He's either the biggest pu55y EVER or just the most run and gun person. There's no middle ground with Lewis. He either does next to nothing and fucks up or does something completely unnecessary and fucks up.
Just... please switch back. Lewis is the worst field commander. At this point I have to assume he is doing the opposite of everything Ben says on purpose to be funny, because no one is that contrary, besides Sjin.
That extra damage on the grenades is a lie, it's not a 50/50 chance. Grenades only roll their highest damage on what is essentially a 20% crit roll. Don't rely on them doing their maximum damage.
Purfiers are like the only alien forces that can be practically ignored until they're the last aliens standing. They only have that flamethrower and sometimes an incendiary grenade, the former is highly inaccurate and both of them only do minimal damage that's more annoying than anything. Unless you get super unlucky even for xcom, you can basically leave them be all combat until they're your only target left.
Or you shoot them first in an ambush and use them as grenades to eliminate the whole pod, or shred some armor at least. I know it's not guaranteed, but it is just so satisfying to watch.
Lewis should stick to classic Xcom. I think he incorrectly assumes his tactics from that game will transfer to this one. They make these missions a lot harder than they have to be. BUT I LOVE THESE GUYS, NOT TRYING TO BE SALTY COMMANDERS.
14:44 Lewis and Ben, this was **not** your panicked person that it was calling friendly fire on. It was warning you that you were going to destroy the crate just north of it if you detonated that. I'm not gonna let myself be triggered because there's no way you could have known that (other then the friendly 'object' prompt in the description, which, come on, you're commentating so I can't argue with missing a one word semantic.) Just thought I'd let you guys know for the future. The crates count as "friendlies". Little bit awkward, someone needs to make a mod that makes this more clear.
Lewis has played this game before. The expansion adds new things but it doesn't change the core mechanics. Then again, after all the years they've been playing Minecraft it's fairly clear that Lewis doesn't have a great memory or pay attention to a lot of things.
Good lord just use your fucking 'scouts' already to open fire they aren't really that damn important to reveal a pack when you already know the general direction of them
Guys, any squad member can shoot the claymore, not just the reaper.
pretty sure they know that
OriginalScuffler i found it more effective and more fun to blow up the claymore with a grenade
Super funny how Ben reliably tells what Lewis is about to screw up... maybe Lewis should like... listen to Ben for a change?
Why is Lewis so adamant about not grabbing crates during a crate grabbing mission?

Well he has the right idea to be cautious, but just doesn't know enough about what he could do to make a good decision.
He also seems 100% allergic on actualy using the reapers gun even though shes not allways revealed and can re enter concealment...
you can open doors without getting revealed, you just have to open then and not charge through them
That's because you kick it down if you run through it.
Yea, it doesn't depend on proximity at all. You have to manually open the door to maintain stealth.
Good Lord the look on bens face when Lewis acts like a fool is hilarious.
I know this is months old, but Jesus is this hard to watch at times.
Can concur

Any breakthroughs on weapon damage you do want, that breakthrough alone will effect the mag cannons and gauss rifles.

Nvm, they figured it out.
2 days Waiting for the cliffhanger....
Awesome playthrough
haha the insync of "the friendly fire was the crate" was funny. Like, i cant play xcom so experience no dick ripping
Geez Lewis is bad. It's almost painful to watch. Him getting shit lucky on overwatch shots is what saved him.
He's not bad, he's inexperienced. He's pretty much in the beginning stages of working out the game.

Edgar and Brindley.
at a certain point they will notice they say it to early for being to easy
Jeez, the indecisive behaviour in this episode makes it painful to watch
I only have one complaint about this series it doesn't get released fast enough
Crates arefriendly
Please put Ben in charge of squad play.
Good lord just use your fucking 'scouts' already to open fire they aren't really that damn important to reveal a pack when you already know the general direction of them
