There is definitely a lot of driftwood of an unknown type (likely pine)

So it being a lake is it fresh or salt water?

Fresh water. It's one of the Great Lakes. I think with a properly placed earthquake, we might be able to turn Lake Michigan into an inland sea. There are some pretty big salt mines in Michigan

😆 Erie is one of the baby great lakes, I do plan to fish it one day from the kayak 😁 my grandpa used to fish a lot of Walleye competitions on Erie in the 80s and 90s
