@@LegendaryTactics great call - definitely noticed. So he sent a separate audio recording of the Zoom conversation for postedit? Looking back, the video looks smooth too - did you get separate video recording from his end to sync, or are we seeing the recorded Zoom video on your end only?
@@truce11 Jamey and I both recorded with audacity and good quality mics. I use a blue yeti. You're right. He sent me his audio. Then I use compression on each track in mixcraft and add a little verb and depth. The video is surprisingly the product of the zoom recording. I did a screen cap too, but the zoom quality was surprisingly better. I appreciate your feedback since we're still a relatively new channel learning how to do this. Our other interviews were all done with steam yard.
Tabletop vs Digital is always an interesting question. For me personally, the digital is ALWAYS a means to either try or cope with NOT being able to play the tabletop version. I bought Wingspan when it first came out and didn't really get the appeal, so I sold it because I knew people were clamoring for it. Then I played the digital when it came out for something relaxing to do and it really then 'clicked' for me on what the game set out to do. Now I own the tabletop version again.
That's awesome. I have only ever played Root digitally, because it just seems like I need the app to enforce all the different rules. I played through the ages on the cardboard first, then sold it because it was too fiddly. The new app brought that game back for me though. It's fantastic.
Tough question, but at least you can't go wrong. They're both excellent. Of the 3 of us at Legendary Tactics, Nato would say you should get Viticulture (which is really enhanced by the expansion Tuscany). Cax and Flash would suggest Wingspan first. It really depends who you're playing with though. If it's with family and kids, Wingspan is the better option. If it's with a group of friends, Viticulture can be more interactive. The other argument for Wingspan is that it's the more recent and popular game at the moment. I hope this is helpful as you make your decision.
Their goal is to have an automa for every game. They get another company to design it. I haven't played all of their games yet though, so I'm not sure if all of them have got it yet. That's a great question.
Thanks for the time stamps and great video/audio quality for video conference call
We bypassed the zoom audio. I always like to compress and master each audio track separately. Thanks for noticing the extra time we put into that!

We really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Thanks.
Loved the rapid fire questions!
Lol. I was most surprised by "Coconuts".
I like both Viticulture and Wingspan, and I have to buy only one at a time. Which one is better to buy first?

Good stuff!
It was a fun interview.
Do they still have games without automa?
