Ya.... 60K is a lot for the older crowd. 24k is good for the younger crowd but i dont see the younger crowd wanting to be in taiwan for the long term when taiwan is more expensive. A lot of countries already get visa on arrival for 90 days. As a Canadian im seeing 3 year multiple entry right now, so this must be offered to a lot of countries. Any tourist visa i still think can be flipped into a working visa. "To convert a 90-day visa on arrival to a working visa in Taiwan, you will need to meet specific requirements and follow a process. Eligibility: First, check if your nationality is eligible for a working visa in Taiwan. Typically, applicants who have entered Taiwan on a visa-exempt entry or a landing visa can apply for a conversion to a working visa if they have secured a job offer from a Taiwanese employer."
100% great info! I personally think there are better ways for others to get onto a work permit or ARC too. Haven’t looked into it, but I believe other countries have better rules for the digital nomad visa, so could transfer it over.
