From what I could tell, they brought a "judge" out to determine which one could get a bigger applause/cheer. They got in teams. Ski with Yuuya and Mao with Shinji. And the said "ready, set" and the croud yelled GO and when it was time for the judging Yuuya went up and "bribed" him and I think he said Yuuya's team wins. I can't speak good Japanese but that's what I picked up from the little words I do know and what they were doing.
