The instrumental is much more intense than the original Cycles, leading to the feeling that if you don't get this over with RIGHT NOW, you're gonna be dead as soon as X gets this over with. Because Cycles is pretty much 100% built on BF pretty much repeating Lord X's parts, combined with the sprites he's using in this video X spends most of the song looking not at BF but at YOU since both his idle and up arrow have him staring at the screen. Yes because execution was 60% just that part and 30% were refrences to Thorns and 10% were just random long notes. They took the good part wich was the melody that played way too many times in execution and decided to make it into a highlight instead of a main melody.

one thing i got to say is i believe in my belief that the latest lord x sprite that was leaked is my favorite for multiple reasons like one of examples is that lord x looks he is not taking bf seriously and just mocking him like in his right pose where he basically looks like he is saying "look at yourself, you are a failure"
I think the intent with this sprite is to represent how Lord Xs sonic body is literally decaying by this point, hence the greenish hue, wrinkles, blackened blood and droopy whiskers. Assuming that’s what they’re going for, I love how unlike previous songs Lord X doesn’t do any weird facial distortions or that weird mouth hands thing, he just dances, and if we’re to assume he’s literally rotting away it’s not too much of a stress to think he is basically incapable of doing any of that weird demonic stuff anymore, like his body is way too weak to handle manipulating it in such a messed up way, so instead he just dances and smiles, waiting for his inevitable end, knowing full well he will never actually die.
I don't know how to feel about these sprites, they're good, but they just don't blend with the environment, Friday Night Funkin itself, or Cycles. This remix fits with the sprites, but they probably need to change the environment the song is in for it to fit: Lord X feels like more of a demon now than just an evil creature, but the environment is still just an eerie-looking hilltop. It doesn't work: but it could.
Lord X is powerful enough that he doesn't consider BF a threat to him. While Lord X always has malicious intention, he enjoys a good game with his chosen victims. He goes as far as to even mock BF showing he really does not take him seriously, that the stakes are more against BF then they are Lord X.
The new Lord X sprites gives me this Wicked Jester kind of Creepy Theater vibe. Like if him and BF were singin' to a crowd and Lord X was giving him the spotlight.
