Well there's never really a right or wrong interpretation of a song because it depends on how it individually resonates with a person. i feel like this was written about the fans... the lyrics are eluding to how exhausted he is by going on tour and how he doesn't see most of us from home, but how as long as we care he'll still make music. I think its the reason he keeps talking about being exhausted. the bright lights are his concerts and the red eyes are us crying at them, or the types of flights he has to take. i might be going insane and this isn't what its about but that's what I got from it
