Yeah, 91 was the first to go serious with Pete and Bas, and i never took them as a gimmick, when i heard Do One, i thought what a great track from these two elderly gentleman, i was impressed, but after three years of being a fan, a listening to them, i was how these elderly gentlemen evolved in to amazing and serious artists, that don't get half the credit they deserve.

I've no idea who 91 shots is, only ever heard them make beats for Pete and Bas but their production is just constantly reaching new levels. Every beat i hear is madder and madder.
He also produces a lot for Norman Pain. I think Norman had the grittier style beats from 91 Shots. Dude is a menace because each track sounds insanely different.

Bas is so technically advanced, I realized that it goes over most peoples heads. And cause Pete is crazy nice, has stories, and super dynamic, they don’t even process what Bas just did. His metaphors, doubles/triples, rides the beat hard, layered bars. Bas is crazy nice.
He's just so damn smooth with it that it's easy to get lost in his flow and completely miss the fucking layers of bars. The way he slips in double and triples by ending his lines prematurely to emphasize certain words, like "wait", "weight", get lit-like candles, etc. The way he makes use of pauses is masterful

The Betty Crocker reference in the first Bas bar, man I wish you grabbed it but I can forgive since the shit is so LAYERED (like cake ahhhh). It's such a visual, you take your opponent and just simplify defeating him down to "pour mix" "add butter" "stir" "bake at 400" and he's done. Or you're just breaking the opponent down literally the way the steps are broken down on the box. Either way it works. And that sets up the "bet he take that... bait" like he's just layin out the clues but you can't trace him, pins in a haystack. Then we have Weight, or wait? On the beat pause. He tells the listener to wait but actually he was setting up for the moving weight bar. And we're moving weight in and outside the gym to get ripped. Yeah, 91 was the first to go serious with Pete and Bas, and i never took them as a gimmick, when i heard Do One, i thought what a great track from these two elderly gentleman, i was impressed, but after three years of being a fan, a listening to them, i was how these elderly gentlemen evolved in to amazing and serious artists, that don't get half the credit they deserve.

Bas is so technically advanced, I realized that it goes over most peoples heads. And cause Pete is crazy nice, has stories, and super dynamic, they don’t even process what Bas just did. His metaphors, doubles/triples, rides the beat hard, layered bars. Bas is crazy nice.
He's just so damn smooth with it that it's easy to get lost in his flow and completely miss the fucking layers of bars. The way he slips in double and triples by ending his lines prematurely to emphasize certain words, like "wait", "weight", get lit-like candles, etc. The way he makes use of pauses is masterful

The Betty Crocker reference in the first Bas bar, man I wish you grabbed it but I can forgive since the shit is so LAYERED (like cake ahhhh). It's such a visual, you take your opponent and just simplify defeating him down to "pour mix" "add butter" "stir" "bake at 400" and he's done. Or you're just breaking the opponent down literally the way the steps are broken down on the box. Either way it works. And that sets up the "bet he take that... bait" like he's just layin out the clues but you can't trace him, pins in a haystack. Then we have Weight, or wait? On the beat pause. He tells the listener to wait but actually he was setting up for the moving weight bar. And we're moving weight in and outside the gym to get ripped. But we're moving weight inside the gym to get ripped muscular, and outside the gym we're moving fuckin drugs and the customers are getting ripped.
