I'd wager it looks so good because the remaining 70% is using assets from the Africa map in place of any new ones they would have added for this map. All the trees/foliage is from the Africa map, The only new models I can tell are those white suits and those spiky logs sticking out of the ground. Plus I'm pretty sure the reason that Eli has no facial expressions is because they wanted to use a model that looked slightly older
its not that konami did it to money grab the folks like in a form of a dlc or something but instead its about kojima and how he wanted to end the mgs series obviously konami didnt like the thought of losing their #1 money maker so they decided fire kojima, rush mgs 5 out the door (making kingdom of the flies unplayable) and make shitty spin off titles (mg survive) for people with enough nostalgia points to buy it anyways. and that kids is how konami was able to fuck them selves beyond belief by one move because of "more" money

Either Ocelot or Psycho Mantis fostered that hate within him, as we see in MGS and MGSV:TPP. Only Ocelot, mantis and Solidus knew he was the superior clone though, while Solid Snake had the recessive genes and Solidus was the product of both being combined (which is why he suffered from premature aging however).
The only backstory I can imagine is that his handlers got super pissy at Eli one day and explicitly lied to Eli's face to make him feel bad. No indication that Ocelot fostered this hatred and when they did the DNA test comparing Eli and Venom (which ofc since Venom is a double of Big Boss it wouldn't work) it was after Eli had escaped with Sahalanthropus.

Grandfather_Paradox liquid snake is the recessive one hence blue eyes blonde hair but is actually the superior of the brothers because big boss supersoldier gene resides in his recessive traits not his dominant one but nobody ever told him hence why he believes he is the flawed one until his death. solid snake has all of big boss dominant traits which why he physically look like him but has none of his supersoldier gene because they reside in the recessive genes which is why he is the true inferior one that is why at the end of mgs1 ocelot mentions on the phone to the government that 'the inferior won'
Solid suffered from it as well,as would Liquid,if he hadnt died.They had certain genomes tampered with,so they couldnt age fully.They also couldnt have children.they were walking biological weapons to the government,nothing more.Once they passed their peak age of performance,they were supposed to age really quick and die,making way for the next batch of fresh clones.
The fact that this was this crucial mission was this far into production and never completed really shows how much of a mess it was at the end between Konami and Kojima.
They are fairly financially stable despite losing kojima, a business doesn't just purposely fuck itself over after being around for this long. They care about money more than pride and kojima is one hell of an expensive cat.
My only hope is that they'll be so bankrupt, they'll have to sell their IP's. And Kojima with his Death Stranding profits and Sony's help will get back his MGS.
If they ever do make a MGS VI one day, that's IF... all they have to do now is to make the story cover the Gulf War years of David (Solid) and Eli (Liquid), and how Liquid managed to put together the FOXHOUND unit that showed at Shadow Moses years later.
This would have been one of the best metal gear solids if it was complete.The game overall is absolutely insane, so much detail and so much to do but you still have that feeling where you have no idea what's going on on the story because it was rushed at the end by Konami.

Just imagine if when he had shot Eli and Eli had really died due to Venom being colorblind for a moment. Venom would have more guilt and trauma than ever for shooting a kid. Even if it's Eli.

The game IS a masterpiece without the need of this ending. MGSV is the pinnacle of stealth gaming and to say it is not a masterpiece just because it doesn't have the ending someone wanted is pretty crazy. Granted, I would have loved to play the areas depicted in this deleted ending, but Kojima event mentioned that he always meant for Venom to be the center of attention. The game is a masterpiece as it is and sure, we can all agree it would have been even better to have this, but most games cut back on a lot of content due to time, money, and internal conflicts. People act like this is exclusive to MGSV, but many games cut endings and content, even older MGS titles could have been formulated in better ways according to Kojima. There are always regrets when a game launches.

And the 'Outside World' Doesn't mean that David was trapped in a single Compound. Big Boss' Lines to David was likely to refer to him, 'seeing the _world_ with his own eyes', as David had limited knowledge of the world outside his country prior to being a 'Snake'. And this isn't the first time we got Retconned info, since Psycho Mantis never said when he met Liquid/Eli, and that he suffered burns from his Dad setting him on Fire for being a powerful Psychic.
With some of the mods of this game... it makes me surprised no one decided to mod this into the game. Make the true final mission, create a true ending to this. Will this ever happen or not? Only time will tell.
The ending is incredibly sad if you think about it. Boss is implying that Eli should never have been born, and that he SHOULD blame Boss for his very existence, because without Big Boss, there is no life that Eli can suffer. An endorsement for abortion if I ever heard one.

Kojima should have gone all out and include this scene in MGSV TPP. Atleast now we know Sahelanthropus got destroyed then Metal Gear Rex was made later in MGS

46 is THE ending, period. Don't kid yourself. But including this mission would have made sense b/c: 1. DiDogs would not just let go of Sahalanthropus as Venom values it as a trophy 2. The revelation from this cut content that Eli has the parasite is a concern DiDogs should deal with 3. DiDogs, at the end, would not have to worry about Eli due to believing him to be vaporized by the napalm and its an effective sequel/prequel/something hook to MGS.
It's not a revelation that Eli had the last vial of the Parasite, at the end of Episode 31 the Third Child is shown giving the vial to Eli. The direct foreshadowing is already there, this was never meant to be cut.
I'll be honest here, I always loved Liquid Snake as a character for some reason, but he just felt half-baked in this game. So much of the plot felt less impactful to me as well compared to the others. Yeah it gets dark and has lots of elements, but it was the first time I felt let down by a MGS story. I wonder what we would've gotten if a conflict betaeen creator and company had never happened. I felt like this was only halfway through the game, and never got why they arbitrarily made Quiet a character (I ended up liking her. Don't get me wrong) when Sniper Wolf literally had a background of being trained by who she believed to be Big Boss and was a sniper. Would've been too young for a love interest, sure, but would've fit the actual lore better. Just felt like the game's cohesion suffered through and through to me. I guess it's a testament to the work done on it that it ended up still being as good as it was.
As cool as this cutscene is, wouldn't the gameplay just have been much the same as the first Sal battle? Maybe with a little bit of sneaking before it, lol
A LOT of sneaking before it, with child soldiers and the remainder of the XOF, in an island map made exclusively for this mission and the XOF agents would have appeared on the map trying to fight Sahelanthropus as well..... fuck now I'm depressed again.
I've heard that you would have had to deploy heavy ordinance such as calling in Pequod with rockets , artillery strikes and some vehicles with cannons and even the battle gear, all in order to weaken Psycho Mantis's barriers enough that he passes out ,so you could actually damage the Sal.

@Dr. Complex Doubt it. He should be the same age as Eli, since This is before their Age Boosting sequence was added that made them Grow up faster.
David wouldn't be stuck in a Compound at This time. And the 'Outside World' Doesn't mean that David was trapped in a single Compound. Big Boss' Lines to David was likely to refer to him, 'seeing the _world_ with his own eyes', as David had limited knowledge of the world outside his country prior to being a 'Snake'.
And this isn't the first time we got Retconned info, since Psycho Mantis never said when he met Liquid/Eli, and that he suffered burns from his Dad setting him on Fire for being a powerful Psychic.

But including this mission would have made sense b/c:
1. DiDogs would not just let go of Sahalanthropus as Venom values it as a trophy
2. The revelation from this cut content that Eli has the parasite is a concern DiDogs should deal with
3. DiDogs, at the end, would not have to worry about Eli due to believing him to be vaporized by the napalm and its an effective sequel/prequel/something hook to MGS.
It's not a revelation that Eli had the last vial of the Parasite, at the end of Episode 31 the Third Child is shown giving the vial to Eli. The direct foreshadowing is already there, this was never meant to be cut.

I'll be honest here, I always loved Liquid Snake as a character for some reason, but he just felt half-baked in this game. So much of the plot felt less impactful to me as well compared to the others. Yeah it gets dark and has lots of elements, but it was the first time I felt let down by a MGS story. I wonder what we would've gotten if a conflict betaeen creator and company had never happened. I felt like this was only halfway through the game, and never got why they arbitrarily made Quiet a character (I ended up liking her. Don't get me wrong) when Sniper Wolf literally had a background of being trained by who she believed to be Big Boss and was a sniper. Would've been too young for a love interest, sure, but would've fit the actual lore better. Just felt like the game's cohesion suffered through and through to me. I guess it's a testament to the work done on it that it ended up still being as good as it was.

A LOT of sneaking before it, with child soldiers and the remainder of the XOF, in an island map made exclusively for this mission and the XOF agents would have appeared on the map trying to fight Sahelanthropus as well..... fuck now I'm depressed again.
I've heard that you would have had to deploy heavy ordinance such as calling in Pequod with rockets , artillery strikes and some vehicles with cannons and even the battle gear, all in order to weaken Psycho Mantis's barriers enough that he passes out ,so you could actually damage the Sal.
I imagine with Sal being piloted by Eli and not a proxy-by-Mantis thing that, at the very least, that whip attack would be significantly more erratic.
