No it doesn't effect your car battery I purchased mine 5 months ago and have had no issues with it what so ever and I've tested my battery voltage and have had no loss in power, I hope that helps.

Is the suction cup reliable? It seems overtime it will get weak, I prefer a 3m. Is there a way to get 3m base rather the suction?

the suction is not working. I’ll put it up, turn the handle to lock it, it’ll stay for a couple of minutes and then fall. any suggestions?
