  • This is the simplest and most precise way to cut wedges to make wood shells with - or other projects with stave construction. The precision depends on how precisely the triangles are made for the router table jig - a very easy task using a paper pattern along with my precision polygon table saw jig. I like the way you take something that is just plain beautiful naturally and make it stunningly beautiful

      Thank you, Mike! Yeah, the vacuum clamp is very handy only having one pad.

      @@express375 I'm trying. I've been watching TH-cam too much so I thought I would get out and try to get back into it on the other side of the screen.

    You always have such great ideas Steve.!!! I’ve used several of them. 😁 Any thought on a new book with your new methods?

      Thanks, Erik! I've always done eBooks and patterns entirely on my own, haven't thought much about an actual book with a publisher and all.

    Simple, elegant and it works !! Kilaidescooe effect when you trimmed alternate pieces
    Love the colours in that wood, what is it ? Got any spare offcuts?

      The wood is eastern red cedar, and it's pretty common around here in Arkansas, I wish it was just a little harder.

    Could you check the link for the vacuum pump? It doesn't seem to be working.

    So if I used this jig to make my wages and then flat sand then cut the shells out?

    • @Steve.Garrison
      @Steve.Garrison  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Make the wedges and cut segments first, then flat-sand the joints just before gluing together.

      @@marlawhite3682 Great! I think this way is probably safer than using a table saw, too.
