I got a dog 2 years ago and I've lost 4 stone through just walking between 5-10k steps a day. Sometimes further depending on weather and my energy levels. It's been a revelation. Such a simple thing and it's had major positive changes for me both physically and mentally.
Good video! I like that you mention muscle building and to not overdo cardio - very true. Walking is indeed all the cardio you need unless you have specific goals and by then you probably know enough to not need that info. It's also good to mention that some form of strength training, for anyone trying to loose a lot of weight, is great. Doesn't have to be the next Ronny, just try to keep some muscle. If you have a lot of weight to burn then you probably have pretty decent muscle under that fat, carrying the load.. save some! :)
i don't have a drivers licence, i don't need or want it. I walk to my gym and back and it's helped me immensely. Walking also helps me cut down on "static" cardio, which bores me to death. I don't like doing cardio, makes me feel like a hampster on a wheel. Walking to and from places gives me a reason to do cardio.
I've been wanting to get rid of some fat around my stomach area specifically and have been going to the gym as often as possible in order to archive that, but after working out I do tend to overeat, which is really annoying. Hearing that walking does more for me than lifting or HIIT training is really motivating, thank you for the video!
I agree walking is a great form of exrecise an i walk on average 14k steps a day and have lost weight, but you say you can walk 10k steps in an hour that is more like a jog, if I walk on my treadmill i will walk about 6.5k steps an hour. Aprat from that I agree with pretty much all you say.
Along with eating clean i try and walk 10km a day or if its late an hour at least but i try mostly to walk for 2 hours theres a long canal in my neighborhood so its 5 km i walk it around twice
Sorry mate but you’ve misunderstood the statistics. People don’t die because they aren’t walking, they aren’t walking because they are unwell and on the path to dying in the next 12 months. Stats like this are so often posed the wrong way around.
It doesn't help if you're not spending more calories than you consume. Perhaps you're not in a calorie deficit? Building muscle more than you're loosing fat? Already sub 15% bodyfat (it gets immensly harder at lower levels)? Could be that your body handles it differently and you might need an educated investigation.

proud of you, keep going

no problem :)
Think the same it is not about intensity it is the regularity.

I walk an average of around 15km at work+ go for a 8km run three to four times a week. Unfortunately that doesn't help at all.

Not if you’re overcompensating with calories.. You can’t defy the laws of thermodynamics
Since it doesn’t work for you, then run 15 miles per day. That should do it
You can't out train a bad diet.
try consuming less calories
You are extremely handsome✨🥰
Lucky her😉
thank you :)
