      Glad the video helped. One thing I will say is that the rear adjustable shock preload tension is a lifesaver for the amount of weight you have on the bike. I am 180 and leave it at 0-2when the wife gets on I turn it up to 16 if I don’t I hear from her immediately.

      @windsurfed1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Duesing Glad the video could help you. That is why I made it. Because lots of stuff does not get explained. And there wasn’t much out there on the 2020 Triglide about in-depth understanding. I did change my handlebars out to the Khrome Werks 2+2 narrow sweepers because my shoulder blade and neck was sore all the time after riding. after 6000 miles I had to switch the handlebars out

    • @windsurfed1
      @windsurfed1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Duesing That cured the problem it brought the handlebars 2 inches for the back and 2 inches higher. But before I did the handlebars I got the drivers back rest and that helped a lot too. But now I have no issues

      2 woofs; Thanks for the nice comments. I have ridden two wheelers for many many years. I fell over on my adventure bike last year. That’s when I decided I needed to get something more stable because I did not want to quit Riding. I really like this Motorcycle. I’ve added a whole Lotta accessories to it which makes it really comfortable. I bought it in July and have 5700 miles on it. I am 65 years old and I am looking forward to many more years on this trike. I really like not having to put my feet down. Especially with my wife on the back when she ride with me. Took me about 3000 miles before I finally got comfortable riding it. I rode 75 miles in one stretch the other day. Pulled over at a convenience store in the shade. Leaned back on my riders back rest. Got my iPhone out and was in that saddle for another 45 minutes just sitting there. Never even got off the motorcycle started it up and continued on my way. It was amazingly comfortable

    Congratulations on your 2020 👏 ...I have a 2019 Tri-Glide, and I will not go back to any type of HD two-wheel again. I did add sum amenities to the bike for add comfort for both myself & my rider (wife). I rode it through a rain storm from Flagstaff to Phoenix - stop & go all the way down I-17.
    Normally it take about 1hr 45mins, but this day it was a 4 1/2 hr of constant rain. The Tri-Glide rode like a champ! 🏆 I saw a lot of different bikes on the side of the road, unable to ride through it. Great review for those that are thinking of going to a Tri-Glide? I am sold on the bike!!

      Very funny! I still don’t know what that thing is. And that light sensor,it tells you when the toast is done. There is a lot more I learned about this bike after riding it now for a year and a half. One thing I know now is I can work on this bike. It is no different from any other bike you want to tackle the maintenance and put new parts on. And as for the helmet, I just bought a new Nolan N87 and will be doing a teardown on that helmet and putting it up on video.

    Hi from Edinburgh, Scotland. Excellent, helpful and very informative, thank you for spending your time and effort to produce this. I don't get my new Tri Glide until September. This will allow me to ride it on delivery. Can I ask, what is good practice in normal riding conditions for braking on a Tri Glide? Likewise, what is best practice for emergency braking? (I note the linked braking). Many thanks.

    • @windsurfed1
      @windsurfed1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      harry clark When I first got mine I took it out on a straight stretch of highway and nobody was out there and I just practiced several times applying the brakes very hard. First I just used a rear brake pedal a few times and then I went and use the front hand brake lever. Just to see what it felt like and get some experience on hard breaking. This is my first experience with a Triglide. After about 1300 miles I started feeling comfortable with it. It seems to take a lot more concentration and effort to go through corners as I am not used to the three wheel or aspects of the bike. I am used to pushing the handlebars on a two wheel bike when cornering On this bike you must pull the front tire through the corners. It takes effort. But it’s a very fun Motorcycle.

      @@windsurfed1 Until this year I ran a part time Harley repair shop. I just fill it with 5 quarts and it brings it up to the full mark, using H.D. 360 oil. I've had problems using synthetic in Harleys due to their roller bearings. Earlier Harleys it had to be between the add and full mark. Since you don't lean trikes, the oil level remains constant. At nearly 74 years old it was time to get a trike. Took a little to get used to it after being on 2 wheels since 1967. Probably my last bike too. Does the electronic system prevent the rear wheels to flip in a hard corner

    • @windsurfed1
      @windsurfed1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The electronica system does not prevent a flip over but it manages it very well. As you can imagine if you go into a curve that is 20 miles an hour and you hit it at 70 or 80 it will not prevent it from flipping. If you went into that 20 mile an hour curve hard, it would help you manage to keep the bike level and easier to manage going through that curve at a higher speed.

      Well in all my travels, maybe you are correct. When the wife and I were on it in 40 mile an hour headwinds one day, the bike “Seemed“ to stay in a straight line but it sure blew our bodies around on the seat. It was unbelievable. Perhaps, at that time, I was comparing the TG in the wind to a two wheeled motorcycle in that wind.

      They cannot do that. Because if they do, then they would have to raise the price of the motorcycle. It is already expensive enough. So they just cut cost by not putting things on and make you pay for it in the end if you want.

    TC light OFF while riding means TC is ON. Turning off TC must be done at a stop. While riding; TC light OFF means TC On. TC light on means TC OFF.

      There is also a TC rain mode! Nice eh? While stopped, press your TC button and a blue cloud will appear on your display.
