his flow is INSANE... like I can't even describe in words how hard and technical this dance is, and he just makes it seem... effortless ?! taemin dancing king wbk
@Harmon McCraw aha yes I am ! hmm I’ll try and explain what I mean better. the combination of smooth and sharp movements continuously through the dance make it reallyyyy hard to be concise without looking sloppy. Taemin himself is insanely detailed in the way that he can control and isolate his body. The start is a perfect example. If you look closely at the beginning (at around 2:00 ), taemin is able to combine his body’s natural flow with a collection of isolated moves - mainly in his legs - to create an instant fluidity within the piece (he does this literally effortlessly, you can see the same with the back up dancers). Another small example would be at around 3:23, he’s using his whole upper body to emphasise a distinct difference between the flow of his arms to the sudden pull which brings them to a halt. These may not seem too technical when pulled apart, but when +
+ you’re partaking in a fast, non-stop dance, keeping these moves defined and prominent yet also continuing the flow ? yeah its damn hard LOL !
The first thing I noticed about his dancing was how incredibly razor sharp yet fluid his movements are, especially the breakdowns. Such control! His ability to isolate, pause and transition from one move to the next has a strength and grace I've never seen in any other artist.
He is truly breathtaking!

Yeah that's Kasper, he's a longtime SM choreographer. He choreographed Idea (along with Bailey, etc), Advice, and shinee's Don't Call Me, among others.

이번 안무 초단위로 잘라서 봤는데 한동작한동작 하나가 다 의미가 있고...춤에대해 모르는 사람이봐도 이건 레전드다 라고 느껴지는 부분들이 엄청 많더라... 인기가요나 뮤직뱅크 보면서 다른 아이돌들 노래하고 춤추는거 보면 이제 성에 안참....태민이 말대로 아이돌 그 이상의 아이덴티티가 이번 이데아를 통해서 확연히 드러난듯...넘사벽진짜....기준을 이렇게 높여버리면 어쩌자는고에요ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
짧은 막방으로 아쉬웠는데 평소 궁금했던 태민의 자연스러운 댄스 연습 현장을 볼수 있어서 좋았어. 얼마나 많은 고민과 연습을 통해 이데아와 태민이의 1막의 주옥같은 앨범노래의 무대가 만들어졌을지 생각하니 대단하고 역시 역솔남 아티스트 이태민이라는 생각이 들었어. 모든 부분에 세심하고 완벽하게 하기 위해 열심히 하는 태민이 정말 멋지고 이러한 노력이 있었기에 매번 성장하는 모습을 보면서 놀라고 많을 것을 배우게 돼.
1막을 끝내는 기분묘한 시간을 같이 보내서 행복하고 앞으로 태민의 2막도 멋지게 시작하길 짝궁이 함께 걸어가면서 응원할게! 이태민!화이팅! :)

I really love the atmosphere during their practice. They all seem to get along so well and I am glad that they can enjoy their break together. It shows what an amazing person Taemin is, considering it is not a given that the relationship between idols and dancers is that good and the mood that relaxed while still working so hard.

초반 이야기들 보면 뮤비찍기 전날까지 여러 사람들의 의견에 대해 고만하다가 결국 자신의 선택을 믿고 추진한 것 같은데, 완성되어 나온 안무가 변주도 많고 다양한 모습들을 담아낸 것 같아서 너무너무 멋지다고 생각했어. 물론 ‘제육볶음’이라 불리는 웨이브 안무 너무 찰떡이고 아름답지만ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 아무튼 프로미돋는 안무연습 비하인드 넘 좋으네...💜💜😭

Uhmmmm somehow I think they have already work on parts of the choreography since it's done by four different choreographers. Probably they were working on building those parts into one solid performance while choosing the best killing points, did the blocking and polished all the moves. Professional dancers like them will drill the moves until they integrate into their muscle memories.
Taemin mentioned how Baekhyun seems to favor a particular section and Kai also said how he saw Taemin practiced the routine. It seems that some of SuperM members saw the routine/parts of it already, meaning that this dance practice probably wasn't done only in one day.

@Harmon McCraw Hey Harmon, yup, I agree with that. I remember how in learning Danger routine Ian first planned to break down the choreography into parts and taught Taemin those in few days, it turned up Taemin only needed a day to learn it, hahaha.
However Idea is way much more intricate and super tight choreo than Danger plus it's choreographed by four different choreographers where I don't think Ian and Keone live in Korea so I only imagine the complications of the methods needed to teach the choreo to Taemin (coz of the Corona situation, I don't think they can freely fly to other country yet). Adding that factor with the info how some of Taemin's friends saw some of the routine/how he practiced it and they're not seen in the video so they probably happened in some other time. Then we know how he spends much time to perfect the moves and worked all the details, so maybe Taemin wouldn't need days but I guess it's more than one (for Heaven choreography he and two other choreographers only needed 3 days before the aired music show to prepare it from a scratch and that's only because he first planned to perform Be Your Enemy as the b-side track promo, once he heard how most fans were hoping to see Heaven he changed his plan and proceeded to prepare a totally new routine for the performance).
It's just my guess tho, hehehe. Let's just have some fun talking abt it here 😆

I had to learn to dance while wearing masks for the past few months and it's definitely a learning process (you get so hot SO fast), but it indeed increases your stamina!

@@zgrine9X yeah even GD usually goes to one or two music shows. That's it. I think senior idols see no point in promoting it longer because they're busy with new projects and it'd be a waste of time unlike new younger ones or rookies who promote for 1 -2 months because they needed it. Senior idols are already established.
