I remember crossing the border back in 2018 and India was just a couple of steps away.It was extremely emotional time to see the land of my ancestors. My mother and my maternal side was from Amritsar and came to live in lahore after the partition in 1947 leaving their home possessions etc behind. Both sides suffered mass migration and massacre.Suddenly friends became enemies but some families retained their ties even after the country was divided. And so I went to meet one such family second generation and was welcomed by open arms. The visa policy is very restricted btw the 2 countries but if you guys can cross the border easily depending on your visa for India Amritsar the border town of India is famous for its Golden temple and its food.Must experience that border crossing. But Both countries view the pple crossing the border suspiciously.I remember I had Sikh visitors from India staying with us a couple of years back and the intelligence would call to confirm if they were really staying with us.Moreover visitors from both countries must report to a police station moving from city to city which is maximum 5 cities visas. We all want hassle free movement but I guess it will be a dream but if the Berlin Wall could be removed then let's hope one day this border will be the same.

Some interesting information about Pakistan 🇵🇰 India 🇮🇳 border Lahore.
1: The pakistani 🇵🇰 Flag at the border is the highest in south Asia.
2: You can cross the border by foot from both sides if you are having Visa of the country where you going it may be India 🇮🇳 or pakistan 🇵🇰. But unfortunately Indian and Pakistani are having lot of difficulties to get visas except some special sports or diplomatic visa.
3: They are considered as rivels of each other but they exchange sweets on every special day like Indian 🇮🇳 army give sweets to Pakistani army on Eid day and pakistan 🇵🇰 army give sweets on Diwali to the indians army.
4: Both India 🇮🇳 and Pakistan 🇵🇰 are having the same name of province on both side. Punjab province in pakistan 🇵🇰 side and Punjab province on Indian side as well .

If you have British / European card then try some bigger branch of "UBL" in Lahore & it should work. You should be able to pay by the Credit or Debit card without any issues. Only Amex is not accept, Visa / Master is widely accepted in PK for payments.
You can legally cross from the same border where you were legally if you have visa for India, the border opens from 0900 to 1700 every day. There is also a train service between India & Pakistan, no idea is its operative now a days.

Great video's guys, really enjoying them.
But I feel obliged to let you know that the cat crossing the border at 16:50 is a spy (pigeons are notorious for this too).
I'm not sure if it's an Indian or Pakistani spy, it's possible that it's a double agent, acting for a third country.
Anyhow keep up the good work, I'm making notes of what to do and where to go when I visit Pakistan based on you guys 👍

We will never be grateful to the British for what they have done to our country plundering it’s wealth, plundering it’s progress, and killing millions during their time in the subcontinent. The British had no plans for making a Pakistan and the idea was forced upon them and the congress politically through the Muslims of subcontinent uniting. Learn your history

Immi Churchill was a racist bigot who disliked Indians/Pakistanis. He thought he was of a superior race to us and the Arabs. Palestinians are still suffering because of him.

Greetings Harry! Many happy returns! If ATM's do not work for any reason, go to a bank's teller/bank manager and ask for a "cash advance on your credit card." Most credit cards allow you to withdraw a cash advance, however the interest rate is steep on advances; 20+%, plus a withdraw fee. If you decide to go that route, withdraw no less than $500 USD to justify the high interest rate charged. You can cross, on foot, the India/Pakistan border with "proper papers/passport"; done every day! Enjoy!

Awesome, the tragedy of Colonization and partition have separated these 2 cultures that clearly share so much in common..they're basically the same blood..it's like they want to meet and shake hands and hug..separated by a man-made line hurriedly drawn by a drunk English guy in 1947.

Hey Harry!! Loving the videos. A quick tip about Pakistani ATM's. I have an American Mastercard and Visa Debit Cards but Visa is the only one that works at Standard Chartered. Mastercard on the other hand. Does not work anywhere. I have been in Islamabad for the past year and this is what I have found. Hope it helps!! Would love to say hello when you guys come to Islamabad :)

It’s so funny how Harry keeps obsessing on crossing or running over the border fence for no reason, it’s hilarious
Well Harry FYI since you have British passport you can legally cross over through this border crossing into India if you have visa to go to India, if you get ur passport stamped by indian consulate in Islamabad, it was so funny Max’s handshake had him shook instead. 😂

Harry it’s human psych to try to do what’s prohibited, but since India’s govt hates Our existence therefore it’s Always at loggerheads with Pakistan, they won’t hesitate to shoot anyone who crossed the border without permission like you thought, it’s serious business that wahga border.
I wish you well hope you have the best time in Pak and go hunza soon.
