We were so fortunate to grow up in the 70's. So many great shows for us kids back than. What happened to society? But we have great memories of our past to remember. Johnny Soko, Ultraman, Space Giants, Speed Racer, Spider-Man and so Many more. Peace Out People. Let's keep these shows in our hearts
Great memories! This and Ultraman were my favorite live action Japanese series! Nice to see this still has a huge fan following after all these years. Power Rangers owe a lot to Space Giants and Ultraman!
The Space Giants was the show back in the day... I used to rush home from school to watch it everyday....Goldar, Silvar and Gam = the original Transformers.
Yea I couldn't remember the name of this show for the longest time.. I remember this being one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I'm glad to be able watch these shows now. Still cool stuff.
Loved thus show & their ongoing battle. I even liked the music. I was inspired by the simple complexity of this good vs evil premise. The final episode when Goldar ended Rodak was a wonderful tearjerker! 🤩🇺🇲🤩🤴🏾🤩
I missed the last episode. I remember back to 1973, my grandmother died, so we must visit her funeral in other town/ province. RIP to all my grandmother, grandfather, mom and dad ...
Omg! I'm 38 and remember this like it was yesterday. We all wished we had cool ass parents like that! Sometimes I find myself doing sound effects from this show whenever i'm clowning around. Thanks for the post!
Yeah - I remember this on TBS from that same timeframe (78-79) - at the babysitter's....I was around 4 at the time (before I broke my ankle, and before I started school). Us kids watching THE SPACE GIANTS....while she painted yet another ceramic Elvis statue...
OMG, i cannot believe i found this. people used to tell me i was crazy, that there was no such program as this! i was very young when this used to come on here in chi (it used to be ch.44 before it was switched to become the spanish station). and eveyone seemed to had fogotten about it. i can't wait to tell my older brother to check this out!!!
I watched this show on Channel 17 in summer 1972. I was in between 9th and 10th grade. Loved the show then; still do! I remember wishing back then that I could turn into a rocket like Gam could!
Hehehe... I too watched this as a kid! Glad to see it on TH-cam! It's HILARIOUS! Funny how we thought this was so amazing when we were little! Thanks for the nostalgia, dick1222!!!!!
I used to watch this show everyday after school. In Tuscaloosa, AL it came on at 3 or 4 pm on TBS, only I think the station was called WTCG/Atlanta back then. Late 70's, I believe. You are but a few of the people I've heard from that remember this show. Man, this brings back some memories. That theme song has always stayed with me though.
Holy crap I couldn't remember what this was. I remember seeing it when I was at a babysitters all day with other kids back in the 70s before starting kindergarten. All I remembered was kids with helmets that shot lightning bolts out at beings dressed in all black and the bolts would melt them into tar hahaha.
This was my favorite TV program ever (I was a huge fan in early 70s)... As child, I jumped on my bed when the song starts.. (where can I find de main song complete ? The song of goldar -played on chapter 10-)
wow!!!!!.......que recuerdos........me trajo gran nostalgia al recordar que esta serie fue parte de mi infancia......... principios de los 80. aca por mexico.
i wached this on tbs also, i lived in west tennessee, i was in ele. school, very young , o the memorys this brings back, like traps i talk about this now and people look at me like im making it up or on drugs, lol
I have to agree with you concerning the cool part. I don't know why it took me all this time to even search for this show. Guess I just figured no one else would remember it.
I would love to know who does Goldar's hair? To bad a tv special wasn't made with Space Giants,Johnny Sokko,Ultraman & Spectreman along with Gamera & Godzilla.
Never saw this as a kid back in the 60s and 70s. Did have Johnny Sokko and Ultraman though. Too bad this isn't available in the original Japanese with English subs...or is it?
@voyager202000 Actually Power Rangers is just remake of ZyuRanger, a Japanese TV show aired in 1992. Also making use of footage from that show. Something like a sham because the idea was pass it off as a Saban creation.
Hey I know Saban used nearly all the Battle footage with Megazord and others from the Zyu Rangers footage. I am well aware of him doing that. Unfortunately it made him a multimillionaire talk about using a original and making it your own! Capitalism at it's worst!

I missed the last episode. I remember back to 1973, my grandmother died, so we must visit her funeral in other town/ province.

Scotty Kilmer would have been proud of this Japanese creation.
I have to agree with you concerning the cool part. I don't know why it took me all this time to even search for this show. Guess I just figured no one else would remember it.
