Maaan. If theres one thing i know. I never yelled michael whilst shooting a paper wad into a trash can from unfathomable distances. Kobe was truly a great player and exactly the player the nba needed after mike retired. Then came lebron. Then kd, steph and giannis. The game is in good hands. I miss you kobe. Thats 100%
One thing I like to see about old Kobe interviews is how different he talks. As he was older in his 30’s he talked more normal and elegant, but when he was very young he had a noticeable east coast accent which you can hear here.
It’s like a piercing feeling. At first ur fine, then the reality hit u out of nowhere. Since it happened, I hav had the hardest time tryin to fanthom this. I really do miss him. 💜💛💜💛
Kobe still holds the records of being the youngest All Star player, the youngest player to make an All Defensive Team, and the youngest rookie to score 20 points in a playoff game. Can’t believe some say he isn’t top 5 or even top 10. Smh
Coaching lack of adjustments & strategy was the reason they didn't make it to the finals in 97 or 98. Chicago would've had it's usual issues dealing with Shaq then there's nick van exel at pg while eddie jones & kobe being thrown at Jordan. That would've been an interesting finals
The jazz obliterated that line up. 😂 Kobe couldn't even get a 3 point basket in the whole series. Eddie and Nick was at 20% 3 points fg instead of 40%+.
Oh but George Lynch, if he stuck around, would be that dirty work glue guy! Anthony Peeler turned out being one of the best strokers of the 2000's. Shaq would rather have the most lucrative contract but if Bean was saying they needed "deadly outside shooting" and a grind it in the pain hardhat professional, those two pieces would have countered those debates coming from Kobe's mouth. Please, anyone out there ever think what if about that?
Kobe said that he thought it would be nice to get an outside shooter and physical guy inside doing the dirty work. I'm not sure about the shooter but didn't they acquire Dennis Rodman at some point?
Yes the Lakers acquired Dennis Rodman the very next season (albeit hindered by the lockout) as a free agent and also traded Eddie Jones & Elden Campbell to Charlotte for Glen Rice, who at the time was one of the best outside shooters in the NBA in an attempt to address both needs Kobe referenced. Unfortunately, Rodman was not all that interested in playing leading to him being released and none of the players respected Coach Del Harris (fired 12 games into season) replacement Kurt Rambis leading to Phil Jackson coming to town the next year...and we all know how that went.
hah, that jacket. Kobe was all about ball, but didn't know good taste fashion sense if it popped out the toilet. racing car rims on a Benz? blech, nasty, but LA love you and NBA royalty all love you, Mamba!
RIP Kobe Bryant and Suzanne Somers
Kobe's humbleness is the only thing ever underated about him
Other than people skipping over him every time they talk about Jordan vs Lebron. They skip over Magic too
Humble? He was full of himself but he was very smart.
@@HamoodiClash i bet you cant post a link to any interview or press conference where he’s truly not being humble
He’s a rapist but ok
Go vote for Kamala u racist pc of shit hahahaha
19 man this dude was special just dedicated to the game
2 years after this interview he will win his first championship
What’s nuts is how mature and confident he is on a interview with the magic Johnson it really speaks to his character
RIP legend
You know what else is wild? Had Magic stayed with the Lakers for one more season, the two of them would have been teammates together.
19 wit professionalism 😭 kobe never changed frl just evolved
he did change the way he spoke changed as he got older and he was much smarter than you think
Rarest interview of kobe of all time , miss my idol. People can imitate but never duplicate
Don't worship idols

You’re just too young then. We all yelled “Larry!” when we did that. There was a pure shooter!
@@fezzik7619 lol not black ppl
@@be4unvme how is that funny and not racist? A lot of black people had a lot of respect for Bird back in the day.
@@fezzik7619 fucc larry bird lmaoo
We didn’t yell “Michael”, but a lot of us did yell “JOR-DAN!” Lol
Magic has always been the Lakers biggest fan. Love it
Best franchise player of all time. Top 3 basketball player of all time.
"I can't say nothing. I'm nineteen years old" Words of wisdom there.

Yea his slang changed as he got older he would still use it in his 30s and 40 but only when he’s trying to be funny
he copied Jordan's cadence and speech
He didn't sound that different. He was already well polished in interviews at a young age.
Well he's from Philly
Great Interview With The Legends Of Basketball R.I.P KOBE BRYANT U WILL BE MISSED BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!💔😭😭🏀🏀🏀
Kobe Bryant to me the greatest basketball player of all time. Suzanne Somers had a crush on her especially Threes Company.
Love it.. love to hear Kobe speak of his sisters/dad/ family..
Still hard to believe Kobe is gone.

Kobe Bryant, deep dude, RIP.
Miss this guy man 😞
When he answered the question of being compared to Michael Jordan is the same way devin booker felt about being compared to kobe

There aren't metrics with which to measure the amount of greatness in this conversation!
It's been a minute since I came to a video with NO dislikes
Damn I still can't believe kobe Bryant is gone
Love you KKKOBE 😍 💗, hijo de mi corazon.
Too much greatness in one video.
Man kobe's voice and some of his mannerisms here are making me trip they are so similar to jordan
These two could have played together for a little while
That grandma could’ve got it
Two months shy of his 20th birthday here interesting
Kobe with the fro was a problem and athleticism was insane.
Their knees in this interview is like when kenny smith walks
It’s crazy Magic (childhood idol) announced Nov7 1991 he had HIV. Yet both Kobe and Suzanne have already passed before him. RIP KOBE AND SUZANNE
Your point?
These two are in the debate with Jordan and Lebron
I respect that to the fullest
Kobe lookin like Steve Harvey in that suit
Steve harvy hates rappers
Special moment: 2:24
Suzanne Somers looked great!!!

Suzanne Somers looking like a whole dam meal 😋
I hope bro took the assist because she definitely threw the pass 😂
Lakers Legends
Damn kobe i forgot that he spent time in italy
Kobe, "I gotta be clean like you", mj😐😐😐
Could someone who speaks Italian, please translate what Kobe said at the end?
Change the direction with the right hand and get to the basket
Why is Susanne summers there?
Does anybody know wht he said in Italian

They look like they got a suit from the walmart
Kobe kind of resembles 2-Pac in a way.
Especially when he shaved his head and rocked the goatee.

Even with Magic’s hiv, he still outlived Kobe. 🤔
Because Magic has HIV, not AIDS. Do you not know how it works?
Kobe was healthy he died because of a helicopter crash
Lamar Odom is more of a miracle.
Who's the woman? She's hot for a granny
