At the Inner Circle side of Buchanan Street, the foundations for Chaophraya and Palm Sugar (formerly a performing arts institution which has since moved) appear to have deterred the construction of an Inner Circle side platform during the 1970s modernisation. That decision was a very poor one. It prevents step free access, because there is only one stairway in and out of the Inner Circle platform. I think that the foundations should be dug around and supplemented if need be, so that an Inner Circle side platform can be built for what is the busiest Subway station.
I would kill for anything like this here in Limerick... Like we're getting a suburban rail which acts like an overground metro... But underground metros are so much cooler
Good job they don't have those narrow platform for the likes of Bank Station on the London Underground!
