From 2014-2018 Argentina we're considered as chockers... They're absolutely rock minded now. The mental strength they have now is incredible. Truly deserving winners.
The trouble when you rely on mental strength to win is that it's an advantage that gets erased with just a few bad results. See what happened to Spain in 2014, Liverpool after their Premier League title and Italy after Euro 2021.
This is easy to understand, cause World Cup is a thing that nobody want to lose. World Cup is more than just a cup. All players are fighting not just for them, but for their country. So anyone play in World Cup will fight with all they have. So every match in World Cup always heated. It's glory, it's proud, it's for their people not only just themself.
They're professional athletes it is not too much to ask for them to know and adhere boundaries. A bit of aggression is fine, but that's not excuse for caveman like behaviour

That they only showed the Argentinian perspective says enough. Their win was written in the FIFA stars way before the WC started. Deserved winners, yes but the most unsympathetic winners all times....
As a dutchie i look back on this game with a smile on my face. It was arguably the most enjoyable game apart from the final. The tension, the agression, the goals, the super late equalizer, it had everything! I also think that the agression went to far a couple of times, but in the end i still look back on this match fondly. I do think it's a shame they only interviewed argentinian players for this bit. They went too far a couple of times as well. Add to that that the media threw some oil on the fire before the game (especially argentinian media) and some questionable refereeing on both sides certainly didn't help to fight those flames😂. It's kind of a shame that that childishness spilled over to the end of the game... again from both sides.
I have to say I am not a fun of the Dutch team, but this game was phenomenal from both teams, strength and will to win from both sides with passion spilling over… what football is all about
Man, they interviewed Argentina first because we won, and second because the dutch team had spoken before the game, especially that old coach that nobody remembers, even talking about personal stuff of di Maria. First you play, then you talk, not the other way.
@@andresramasco2479 I'm sorry, but what did van Gaal say about Di Maria before the game? The only interview I can find before the game where he said anything about Di Maria is where he said he was sad that Angel called him "the worst manager he played under" a long time ago, and called him a great player. Also "Old coach that nobody remembers" is of course a bit dumb for a trainer that has won the champions league, super cup, the bundesliga and la liga. I'm not saying I'm a fan of van Gaal as a person and he sais some weird stuff sometimes, but he deserves a bit more respect
@@thijstimmermans183 respect for those who respect. He also said that he knew how to stop Messi and that if the game was going to PKs they were winning for sure. If that's not understimating your rival and trying to destabilize the other team players I don't know what that is. That's why Messi went to celebrate to the dutch bench with his hand in his ears, he never does that, but this time that old guy was quite rude.

More than a football match, it was literally a battle on the pitch, I must also say it reminded me a bit of the battle of Nurember where Portugal scored one goal over Netherlands in the 2006 world cup, then they started hitting each other foul by foul, which resulted in yellow and red cards.

The refferee stoped the counter attack, not allowing advantage law. That's why Messi didn't got a yellow card. There is another play in which he delays the game for a while tho, he should have been sanctioned there.
Not in that sequence. It started with a solid non-call against an Argentine tackler who hit the ball before he hit the player, then descended into a situation where both sides could have seen ejections. This is the way the game SHOULD be called, unless you're talking about kids in the park.

In my life I have now experienced Argentina 3 times in the knockout phase of the World Cup. 1998, 2014 and 2022. 2022 was by far the most poorly played from the Netherlands. 1998 was won and 2014 was equal during the game. 2022 Argentina was much better. Still, we were close and that was miraculous enough. After the 2-2, the Netherlands should have continued to attack and not defend. It is more than fair that Weghorst does not get a hand at the end.
Well said.
They're professional athletes it is not too much to ask for them to know and adhere boundaries. A bit of aggression is fine, but that's not excuse for caveman like behaviour
Argentinian players acted like 12 year olds that entire game. Busier taunting their opponents after winning than celebrating. Absolutely disgraceful.
I still remember that night.

The way referee sided with Argentina in this match made me 💯 sure that Argentina were going to win the World Cup
Love that this is made only about the Argentinian perspective. They did not show sportmanship whatsoever but like the FIFA who wanted Messi to win the World Cup they also like to make every opponent evil
exactly this. Although I do understand the perspective of Argetina, having a dutch perspective would've made it a bit more unbiased.
I have to say I am not a fun of the Dutch team, but this game was phenomenal from both teams, strength and will to win from both sides with passion spilling over… what football is all about
Netherlands or Czech 2026 🏆
He said that he didn't start di maria( who was at his prime) bc he was affected by a family issue by that time, which di maria denied and even if it was true, it's a personal issue.
Argentina definitely have some players who need learn some respect
So does Netherlands...

More than a football match, it was literally a battle on the pitch, I must also say it reminded me a bit of the battle of Nurember where Portugal scored one goal over Netherlands in the 2006 world cup, then they started hitting each other foul by foul, which resulted in yellow and red cards.
how parades did not get a straight red is still a mystery to this day. also messi's blatant handball did not get yellow?? you'd have to be delusional to think this match wasn't rigged. Also posting this so you can only hear argentina's side is just blatant propaganda to justify this rigged match.
The title of the video is false and misleading, the shooting is fully partial showing only the point of view of argentinians and does not show any aspect related to the quarrels and discussions they had in several moments, both during and after the game; in few words these 3 minutes are something useless and harmful....
