I like how that one line of text "Nature remained in balance" was enough for him to conclude "Never harm animals." for the whole game.
Not to say that he would shoot every squirrel he sees otherwise. I just like his deduction.
That line is super omnious. If it was "Squirrel remains safe" or something he'd probably have experimented a bit more

Although my FAVOURITE dialogue in the game comes at the tower, if you didn’t see her and Mike a different option appears where Matt stands his ground and demands she “treat him like a fucking human being” it’s awesome
i think the funniest part of all of this is that one of the only quick time events he missed was the high five

@@alby0123 I assume he means the ending where Josh becomes a wendigo. To unlock it, you have to find Hannah’s journal in the mines (as well as a few other clues iirc) and it can be missed. If you don’t find it, HannahWendigo just kills Josh instead of turning him.

I love how observant you were with each character, remembering to give Matt the flare gun because of the totem, or hiding with Jessica because you remembered she can’t run in her condition, or constantly remembering not to harm nature. Loved this playthrough
I don’t play a ton of games but this is the first I’ve seen that consistently rewards acting kind, like a real human being.

I love that in the credits, pretty much everyone looks like they’re scared and traumatized, but Sam looks fucking dead inside

ive gotta be honest: i still love how this game sets up a whole bunch of weird paranormal stuff, reveals that its all faked in a saw-like game or whatever, and then, like, the next scene says "oh actually the paranormal stuff is real, but its wendigos."

It gives you a hint of the paranormal, unveils the truth, then unveils further truths that show you just how deep the rabbit hole goes

They throw everything at you so you can’t see the real twist coming and it really works! They have yet to replicate the captivating mystery of this game blind
And remember kids, when chased by a horrifying monster in the middle of nowhere, the important thing to keep in mind is that you don't have to be the fastest runner, you just need to avoid being the slowest one.
If only there are only one sequence. If not, then you have to be faster than two slowest persons in your group :)

I used to work for the government and received some training on crisis intervention, it’s actually standard procedure in these situations to interview victims as immediately after the event as possible. They’re interviewed again at different time intervals following that (the next day, then a week later etc). Thought I would mention it since RT pointed out that they were being questioned before receiving medical attention.
Why tho? Is there a reason for that?
@@loveloveaii I'm guessing because people's brains are surprisingly good at creating false memories to rationalize things. The sooner you talk to them, the less time they have to do that.
As a psychology student, I must say mind is extremely potent at doing this. There have been cases of even rape victims not remembering the culprits properly.

Our memories are the freshest as soon as a traumatic event is over and our brains often cope with trauma by blocking it out of our memory completely or creating fake memories. It’s best to question victims as soon as its possible because you need the most accurate information on the event.
@@loveloveaii Because your brain is incredibly unreliable. Within a couple days it will have forgotten half the important details, and then when you're asked to explain those details it will literally make stuff up so that you have answers to provide. False memories are ridiculously common in testimonies. Not to mention the memory-blocking effect that trauma often has.
There's a reason scientists always say human testimony is the weakest form of evidence. Humans are not a reliable source of information; and the further in the past an event happened, the LESS reliable they become.
One of my favorite parts of watching this live was how Chat immediately changed to a loving and concerned mother the moment the dog was involved the second time in the asylum. Every time it disappeared chat was filled with fear

@@validark Nah, wolves are way bigger than that, wolfdogs too. Look up pictures of wolves compared to humans in size. Chances are they were, in some ways, tamed before.
Genuinely impressed that Dan's instincts led him right on literally EVERY detail, right down to Sam stalling to give the others time to exit the lodge. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE else that I've seen managed to kill at least one of them (usually Em).
Oh no, not emily. Anyway, atleast none of the likable characters die.

@@vizic9561Dan usually plays things blind and refuses help unless he's stumped. Stubborn enough to ignore chat telling him the right answers and goes with his gut anyway. !nospoilers is on most of his playthroughs
RT: "If I get another one of those "Don't Move" segments, I will end up killing a character."
Also RT: Flawlessly passes every final "Don't Move" segment in the final scene and gets the good ending.
Also worth noting he had turned off vibration, which may have helped everyone live

Dan was a fucking warrior in the final act. Got everyone out alive, AND Sam. If I tried to play this game I would get 60% of the crew Merced.

I think part of the reason that Emily is so hated is the fact that you have almost no control over her personality. The other characters, with the possible exception of Josh, can all be played as being virtually different people. Ashley being the most extreme case as either one of the most likable, or by far the most despicable, person in the game.
Fun Fact! As a preorder bonus, there is an extra scene where Matt and Emily look for the bag Emily is missing when they get to the lodge. This shows that they actually… like each other… and don’t hate each other completely! Too bad it’s a preorder bonus!

I can't stop thinking about that dub whenever I see this game. Hollowtones' voice for Dr Hill has become canon in my mind

When my brother and I played this game, we chose zombies over clowns because we've never found the latter scary. It caused Dr. Hill to slowly decay over the course of the sessions and it was REALLY fucking intimidating.
I noticed that in another play through! Also I noticed since RT said he feared needles during Sam’s chase scene the psycho has a needle but other play throughs the psycho can have a gas mask and gas instead!
Imagine if Doctor Hill slowly got more and more clown makeup on as the game progressed.
That’s really cool cause all the play throughs I’ve seen, people chose clowns, so I’ve never know what picking zombies did.

Sam’s the MVP here honestly. Getting everyone out one by one, being barely inches away from a wendigo several times, and she still managed to keep it together (compared to everyone else of course). Thanks for playing a good ending Dan, so those of us with shaky hands (me) don’t have to.
Mike did really well too, except for that one time he almost shot Emily but I mean, it's Emily so he should get a pass for that.

There was a movie about a pizza girl who gets kidnapped by a cult on delivery, Satanic Panic, but it's not a game
RT did really good. He managed to save all the characters first try even though chat wanted Emily to die.
To be fair, most of chat did not know how to kill Emily. They were all shouting advice that even when followed, Emily would survive

I like how after the radio tower falls, Matt is basically just forgotten from the story entirely. Poor guy, dealing with Emily's shit and being forgotten not only by his friends, but by the devs as well

I don’t think rt showed it in the highlights, but he comes back in episode 10 after like 4 episodes of being missing.
He can actually get a high romance point with Emily (where she actually gets character development and is the only character that’s actually worried for him)
I'd guess he was meant to fall with Emily and so they didn't go back until they revealed the fall wasn't fatal
According to the wiki, if he and josh are the only survivors, he tells the rescuers that "the psycho" killed josh and to search the mines for him, because he literally never found out that Josh was faking it.
When I watched this video I literally saw Matt and was confused beyond belief because I didnt remember he was part of the main cast. Everyone else I remembered immediately but with Matt I was like “Who tf is this random extra?”

the scene at 24:30 had me ROLLING, them talking about melting a lock and then boom totem about one of their friends LITERALLY BURNING ALIVE I CANT

Having watched the stream live, the funniest part was watching RT freak out over the 'don't move' sequences. He even paused the stream for a while to look for a way to turn off the rumble because he was terrified that a game which had monsters who detected you based on movement would end with sequences in which you can't move. Granted he was right, but it was still funny.
As someone who's introduction to rami malek was this game, it's funny to hear him recognized as Freddie Mercury because when I see him anywhere I'm like oh it's my boy Josh

12:10 not sure if anyone in chat pointed this out but sanatoriums weren't actually mental health institutions, rather institutions to care for people suffering from long-term illnesses, commonly tuberculosis (hence why we don't really have them anymore). the more you know!
yes, thought that kinda got lost in there! They were always in the mountains or by the sea because the clean air was supposed to heal them
but the hospital in the game *was* a mental institution - in supermassive's prequel game 'the inpatient' the player character is being treated for an amnesiac condition after being involved in a mine collapse. in the US they're not really a thing any more because jfk ordered the dismantling of 'snake pit' institiutions after his sister rosemary was subject to abuse while in longterm psychiatric care.
In the town I grew up in there was an old sanitorium on top of the tallest hill in the area, with a very steep road.

It came out 6 years ago and I’m still excited for different creators to play it. Testament to the game. But also holy shit slow down time.
I only just now realised that Hannah waited for about 30 days before eating Beth's corpse. And now I am honestly just amazed she survived long enough to become a Wendigo before just dying from eating the horribly decaying body. Because the corpse would have reached active decay and begun to liquify. Unless the cold climate somehow preserved it really well.
Couldn't the cold have delayed it a bit?

Josh really was screwed over in this game. He either ends up dead or a Wendigo. The man lost both his sisters and blames himself because he was passed out drunk. He really needs a therapist… like a real therapist.
Dr hill was his real therapist. You can find evidence of this. The dr hill we see in game is josh’s paranoia manifesting a warped version of him.

@@jsdotigboigamer Hill was a good therapist, the only problem was he was misdiagnosed, he had schizophrenia but was given meds for aggressive depression. So he wasn't being properly medicated, when you look into the shit in this game it's actually really tragic

Actually, you were playing as him every time you had a "session" with Dr. Hill. That's why your choices matter. His mask was a clown one because HE thought that the clown mask was scary, there were rats because HE thought that the rats are scary, and same with the syringe he was using. That is also why that card you found with a letter to his sister had that barn with a scarecrow, because HE thought that it was peaceful, and decided to use it.
I've seen so many playthroughs of this game and I never knew that the choices actually affect parts of the game, the more you know!
i know this is a really late response, you maybe even knew it already: but i assume thats why in the photos of everyone on the wall, emily had her eyes crossed out, because RT said he really didnt like her
this is very late but yeah i never realised this either ! my first play through i put that i was afraid of zombies during his sessions and in chapter 10 when the delusion of Dr hill is playing infront of josh, for me Dr hill was more zombified like he was a rotting corpse and i find that so interesting ! definitely my favourite game

The funny thing is, this kinda shows us RTGame's mentality. When it's all fun and games, he's playfully evil and rather notoriously inept. (Rhythm Heaven, anyone?) But when he's actually invested in the characters and trying to save them all, not only does he perform incredibly well under pressure (able to reason out choices in seconds), he makes moral decisions AND magically is able to hit every quick time event. (He missed, what, one or two non-essential QTEs over the course of the video?
RTGame is actually quite good at games. He just has to CARE.
Yeah that's the main problem with story based games that suck at making you care about the characters. If the game doesn't give you a reason to care, then why should you when the cast starts dropping?

It really impressed me how quickly he realized that shooting the wendigos behind bars were just opportunities to waste bullets.

@@railenherman6482 Oh, i didnt know that. Still, his quick thinking would've saved him if he really did only have as many bullets as matt grabbed like rt thought.
Even years later watching this playthrough, i always feel bad for Josh. You can't save him, his sisters died, he was given the wrong medication thus worsening his condition. He never indirectly/directly killed anyone and he STILL got a bad ending. Poor dude was just a victim in it all
I mean depending on how you look at it he gets to be with one of his sisters i guess?
@@generalgarchomp333 how? No matter what ending you get, Han-Digo gets blown up in the house fire. He ends up either dead or living alone as the only Wendigo in a mine. His fate is unfortunately death or isolation. It’s sad.

@@generalgarchomp333 I’m pretty sure that’s not true… all paths lead to the house being blown up. Even if you mess up the first don’t move (condemning mike), and then get Sam killed right away, regardless of who else is alive, mike regains consciousness long enough to use his lighter, having the cause of death being burned alive. Even when ash, em, and Chris are all alive, they just run out together and then mike uses the lighter.
That being said, if I’m missing an ending tho please please let me know because I would absolutely love to know there’s a hidden ending where Hannah is still alive. That would be sick

I am beyond proud of rt for fucking getting the hardest ending in the entire game. YOU LEGIT GOT EVERYONE ELSE. SOMEONE GIVE HIM A MEDAL

I like how the requirement for the "They All Lived" achievement does not include keeping the flamethrower guy alive.

I was really impressed with the part where Dan was torn between saving Emily or jumping to safety as Matt.
His reason being that jumping off to safety would lessen the weight of the breaking tower and would have more space to save Emily.
While it didn't work out exactly as he planned, it was funny to me knowing Matt could have had a worst fate if Dan went to save Emily.
Actually fun fact: giving Matt the flare gun means he has a chance to live even after falling with Emily.

Matt has to disagree with Emily about going to the tower in order to make him actually keep the flare gun instead of immediately using it. The totem about it is unmissable, and pretty much no-one is going to disagree about the tower. It's the most stupid part of the game. The game basically tells you to waste the flare gun.
In this situation though, Dan was covered if he had Matt try to save Emily, Dan gave Matt the flare gun so if Matt attempts to save Emily, when he jumps and is attacked, the flare gun actually saves him.

@@Elizabean1984 Nah, the flare gun is the key part of Matts survival, if he doesn't want to go to the Fire Tower originally he won't use the flare gun when you give it to him and he can use it to save himself after he wakes up from passing out trying to save her. Jumping was the best thing for Dan to do in his playthrough. Matt usually bites the dust in most play throughs I see because the Flare Gun choice is very subtle.

I remember when my brother and I played this, whenever he needed to keep the controller steady, he would lay it on the floor. Actually got one of them killed in the last chapter because the controller vibrated.

@@greed94 the reason RT didn't lose anyone to the vibrations is because he's holding the controller with both hands resting on his legs as opposed to trying to hold it steady in the air or setting it down(the vibrations will cause the controller to move too much of you set it down).

It's worth mentioning Emily is less of a horrible person during her credits interview when she talks about Matt if while playing as Matt you side with her during her argument w/ Jess and repeatedly try to save her on the tower. Though if you do, you need to keep the flare gun with Matt. Otherwise he dies no matter what. A long way to go to have Emily be slightly more likable, but worth it if you want character redemption for someone like her.
Saving Matt on a first-time playthrough is HARD. Saving everyone on a first time playthrough is straight up amazing!
The fact that RT got the best endings on his first playthroughs of Until Dawn and Detroit Become Human is nothing short of impressive.

In this case it's literally "whoops you fucked up that qte now you cant get the best ending" in hollow knight you can literally get everything no matter when as long as you dont go for the final boss yet

Kevin's Until Dawn videos are how I got into him. TH-cam kept shoving them at me, and I finally gave in and fell in love. And some months later I finally gave in and watched one of his videos with RT. This stream felt extremely important for that reason. Good memories, good times.
That's exactly what happened to me, watched a normal until dawn playthrough on a random channel, got Kevin's fuckface run recommended, ended up on his sims videos and from that I found RT's sims videos.

Whenever a wendigo is near there's a high-pitched tone that plays. During the radio tower scene (1:16:00), you can hear the tone as the supports are taken out.
This man just got the best ending in this entire game, including the secret wendigo scene at the end, first try. I have seen so many people fail at doing this with multiple attemps, paths forged and tutorials made that showcase the intricate detail you need to put into what you do to keep every single one of them alive. This man here is a legend.

Story time: my uncle was playing this game and he was trying to AT LEAST keep Sam alive, now, my uncle has 2 little bitty toddlers who can walk n form some nonsense sentences at this point.

Not necessarily true. To get Jess out of her clothes you actually have to lower their relationship. If you get Mike to scare her and she falls into the river, she'll end up taking her wet clothes off in the cabin

@@chemicalchameleon3469 No, you have to be chivalrous with Mike to get her to undress. Things like being witty when scared, not scaring her, and immediately jumping to her aid. If you do all that she should be in her underwear, otherwise she will feel insecure. If you pick the dismissive options or the seduce option in the cabin her jacket will remain on.
@@TheMasterUnity ok after some, questionable google searches ngl, I think I figured it out. Scaring her with the mask changes her dialogue to wanting to take off her jacket cause it's wet, BUT she'll keep her shirt and jeans on. In order to get her in full underwear the main things you need to do is immediately jump into the mine to help her, not scare her, and just don't interact with the rifle at all. I think as long as you don't point the rifle at Jess it's ok, but she seems to get annoyed at Mike when he picks up the gun no matter what. There's basically three options, fully clothed, jacket off, and underwear that correspond to Mike being cautious, neutral, and heroic. I think I just mixed up one of the routes

The only thing that is close to Jessica saying she wet is when she realizes she lost her phone and she only says that her phone must've fallen into the river.

Until Dawn at least has humour, and it was kinda made as a "every horror movie trope in a nutshell." Not to say the game isn't scary, but it has a lot of self-awareness. There is no joy to be had in Happy Game, despite the name.

Good job on this one RT, for some reason i always expect the worst when you play choice based games but you actually have a good head on your shoulders. Matt in particular is one person most people just can't seem to keep alive because they make him try to rescue Emily.

And yeah for whatever reason Matt gets cucked super hard. You get barely any options to play as him and the few you do get are very ride or die. There's so few options to keep him alive and they're a tad innocuous.

I love how this entire game is essentially just Josh reconciling his guilt that he never saved his sisters. Initially, he creates this massive ARG to essentially trick himself into thinking he fixed everything, but it only worsens it. Dr. Hill is just him destructively trying to help himself. Eventually, he is thrown too far into the hole, and succumbs to his guilt and fear. Excellent writing 10/10
WAIT I just realized that we later learn that the flamethrower guy is actually trying to help us, and he’s the reason that Hannah and Beth fall of the cliff. THIS MEANS IF THEY DIDNT RUN AWAY NOTHING WOULD’VE HAPPENED! He even tried to save them after they fell off the cliff, you can see him reaching down to grab them!

While yes, the mountain's curse caused the miners to turn bc they resorted to cannibalism, there's one main spirit that kind of acts as the alpha(?) in that it's the biggest and most dangerous one there.
(I believe it's the one who started the curse, but don't quote me on that.)
Killing its host only frees it, which gives it a chance to find a new one. Idk if that holds true for the others, but as long as that specific spirit is around, there's always going to be at least one monster on the mountain.
[SPOILER just in case: That's what ends up possessing Hannah]
The flamethrower man must have figured the sisters had either died from the fall, or were about to become dinner very soon. Either way, he knew they were doomed as soon as they fell.
This could have all been avoided if:

Flamethrower guy:
It’s okay, I’m on your side, do as I say and run
Hanna and beth: Ok cool let’s get outta here

@@Now_Its_Orange It was an actual Wendigo that chased Beth and Hannah. The flamethrower guy came in and drove the wendigo away after Hannah and Beth fell. That's why we can see the fire while Beth and Hannah were hanging onto that branch. Only THEN the flamethrower guy could and tried to save Beth and Hannah.
If you complete all the totems you unlock a short video giving a little more backstory, the alpha wendigo was chasing Hannah and Beth, and the flamethrower guy was chasing it. He hunted it down (but in the process freed the spirit) and tried to save the sisters, but sadly they both fell, resulting in Hannah getting possessed by said spirit.
As much as I despise Emily throughout the entire game, I do think she has the best line in the entire goddamn game.
The delivery of "Understand the palm of my hand, bitch." is so beautiful, especially with the slap afterwards.

The butterfly affect IS the bat being locked and not available for Sam. RT didn’t notice it but if you do you can interact w it and Josh will pick it up and then it’s not inside the cabinet anymore and Sam can use it to hit the psycho lol

Sam's the real MVP, she was so brave and kept it together pretty well, she also didn't get in pointless fights and tried to make everyone get along. She was definitely my favourite character, she seems like a fun person to hang out with. And she's so pretty! I was nervous at the end but I'm glad RT managed to keep her alive!😅

Bit late but Sam is one of the hardest characters to kill in the game, along with Mike. I think both of them are guaranteed to stay alive until the escape from the cabin at the very end. Which I won’t complain about given that Sam was also my favourite.
Coincidentally, Matt and Emily, the only two POC in the game who also have the least screen time, are the easiest to kill, with multiple opportunities for things to go wrong. Totally normal, nothing to unpack there
@@Aeiouaaaaaaaaa I've always thought Matt in particular has ridiculous requirements to survive. If you don't give him the flare gun, and if he uses it immediately, you don't even have a quick time event or anything, he's just instantly dead. Very lame considering all the other characters essentially get a gauntlet if you choose wrong to still give you a chance.
Edit: This is of course if you decide to be a good person and try to help Emily. Which the game decidedly punishes you for. Abandoning her skips the flare gun stuff, lol.

When I first saw the character of Josh, I immediately wondered: "Wait, did they actually model him after Rami Malek?"
Fortunately this was indeed pointed out by the chat later in the video. Although chat seemed to mainly recognise him from the movie about Queen and Freddie Mercury, I moreso recognized him from the show "Mr Robot". So for me, it felt like Mr Robot was having another one of his episodes again.

I love how his instinct with the Matt+Emily situation in the mines will result in Matt actually surviving longer than in most peoples playthroughs - well done to RT, that choice is probably the most ambiguous of the entire game
I like the consistency that even as a Wendigo, Hannah never has any scenes where she directly kills Mike (the closest thing is in the final segment if Sam doesn’t distract Hannah, Mike accidentally moves and then she picks him up and chucks him at one of the wooden pillars, and he falls unconscious to die in the fire). I say this because every other character has a potential death to be maimed or decapitated by Hannah.
Jess is the earliest potential death (where Hannah rips apart her lower jaw, if Mike doesn’t get to her in time),
then Matt (his jugular planted on a metal hook if he doesn’t have the flare gun and chooses to rescue Emily),
Emily (eyes stabbed by Hannah’s nails, when she fails to lock the deadbolt at the quarry),
Chris (decapitated during the shooting segment outside the lodge),
Ashley (investigating the trap door when she’s separated from the others),
Josh (in the water of the mines if you don’t discover Hannah’s journel),
and Sam in the final segment (stabbed in the stomach).
But Mike’s only guaranteed death is if Sam flips the switch in the lodge too early and he and the others all burn up. I don’t know if it’s ever stated otherwise, but to me that seems to suggest that some remnant of the host of the Wendigo remains intact, as well as their feelings to other people. Hannah even in that form, might still have a score to settle with all the others, but perhaps her desire to be with Mike still persists. Just something I’ve thought about every time I re-watch let’s plays of this game.
Matt can die earlier to the caribou if he panics and then tries to hit them with the axe. Not sure if nature has to be unbalanced, but it is definitely possible.

It's kinda messed up she doesn't have strong enough feelings for her brother and Chris was passed out so he didn't even do anything 💀
I think it also points to there being some remnants since after Hannah took Josh away after reading her journal something happens where either she helps him become a wendigo or leaves him to become a wendigo, either way she doesn't kill him immediately
You know, the sporadic canned laughter really adds to the whole horror vibe, especially as it's a good chance the people used to record that laugh track are likely deceased

@@danielshore1457 To be fair, while the prank was definitely cruel, Hannah was clearly crushing on a guy who was in a relationship, and actively acting upon her crush. The prank was fucked up, sure, but it certainly didn't warrant the phycological torture they received. Not to mention it truly seemed like they just saw it as a dumb prank, and didn't think about how much it would upset her.
In all this, Mike has to be my favourtie. He sees one of his friends get taken, he goes into the harsh cold in nothing but a shirt and looks badass. He sees a very dangerous wolf, he freaking befriends it. He has shot so many wendigos and saved so many people it's unreal.
Mike and Sam are the most dependable people in this entire thing

You got the True Ending first try, which is fucking insane; however I think watching you unleash your inner "Kev Energy" and just utilize what you found out this playthrough to take out literally everyone you could as soon as possible? It would be a lot less tense and a lot more comedic because you'd be plotting out each way you wanted to kill each character.
Problem with that is that Sam and Mike are functionally unkillable until the final sequence of the game. Like, they actually just cannot die before then. You can only skip small portions of the game by killing off a few characters. The Matt and Jess section near the end of the game can be easily avoided by having both die beforehand (Matt by trying to save Emily twice on the falling tower, Jess by being slow as Mike while Jess is being dragged by the Wendigo ), Emily can die as early as the section where she flees from the Wendigo, Ashley can die by following Jess's voice in the caves, Chris can die from Ashley not letting him in after the Stranger is killed, but no matter what Sam and Mike will persevere until the final segment begins. As a result, a speedrun of killing everyone is functionally identical to a regular playthrough for the vast majority of the game.
Edit: I was more than a bit exhausted as I typed this out, and I forgot that you can kill Matt off earlier by trying to kill the deer on the cliff.

I like that the game doesn’t spoon feed the player some of the horror. Like it’s up to you when you figure out that Dr. Hill’s sessions are influencing things/changing with the story because they aren’t real. And how Beth’s body was missing because Hannah ate it for survival but she kept Beth’s head safe because she wanted to maintain some of her sister’s dignity/have something to bury (she might have been keeping it safe from the other windigos too for the same reasons). I wonder if she didn’t rebury her head was out of loneliness or guilt. And Han-igo was the one who saved Josh’s life before the game started (he should have been eaten while he was setting up all his Saw traps) by trapping all the other windigos in cells in the asylum (that area Mike had to walk through). So she remembers A LOT, she’s just… hungry.
She also avoids killing the guy who was her crush (I forget if it was Matt or mike tbh) and has an opportunity to directly kill every other character depending on the player’s actions. The most brutal ways she kills people are usually the ones she feels wronged her the most in the situation that caused her sister’s death and her turning into a wendigo. It’s very interesting tbh.
She also spitefully tosses Jess' phone throw the window with music playing. Nobody ever seems to point that out--music was not playing on her phone before, but it was when it landed in the house; Hannah's brain is in-tact enough to be able to hold a grudge, recognize and remember how to use complex technology like smart phones, and had enough of her personality in-tact to do something as sassy as that to ruin Jess and Mike's moment.

I really gotta commend Daniel's trigger discipline in this game, especially in the part where you play as Mike in the hospital with the shotgun
I love how every character ends up feeling pretty well realised by the end. Emily ends up being one of my favourites, after she was such a bitch at the beginning. And Jess just ends up so broken.
And then there’s Matt.

My head canon as to why the Windigo was never drawn to the characters when they said it’s name was because they said “Wendigo” which is not how it’s pronounced.
Jokes aside, I do appreciate the fact that they didn’t make the Windigo a deer

how did RT naturally avoid nearly every single moment of "you fucked up so now a character dies" even the gun bit, if he'd pointed it at ashley chris woulda died, somehow he didnt, if he didnt pick josh to saw then she would have died, round and round just avoiding it its impressive haha
the game will always pick Josh during the saw segment, even if you pick Ashley

I remember having to play through this game twice because my impatience lead to two deaths, and it was the first time I ever experienced such slow walking in a video game. Honestly though I'd do it again, was a good time.

Not really a real jumpscare but at 14:50 Mike (I think) spooks the characters and it scared the shit out of me lol
It's taken me six years to realize that Josh's plan doesn't really affect those arguably most at fault for what happened to Hannah and Beth. He sends Mike and Jess to the guest cabin at the beginning and they're both in the wendigo plot from then on, even though they don't know it, and aren't ever directly affected by Josh. The same can be said for Emily (and Matt by proxy) when she and Matt leave the cabin for her luggage. He specifically is taking his anger out on Chris, Ashley, and Sam. Which, can be considered to make sense if you think about the fact that he probably felt most betrayed by Chris and Sam since he was the closest to them, and Ashley got caught in the crossfire as an easy way to hurt Chris.
The problem is Chris and Sam didnt take place in the prank
