How did the refs not call a lift by Orzol @1:31:45?? Also, Shaffmaster’s decision to go over on two at 18-18 was poorly executed. It was a tight pass and Crawford was already reading the dump. That gave Wisconsin a huge energy boost and they closed it out. The Gophers were so close to another Wisconsin upset and that would’ve helped them tremendously in the rankings, hosting, and seeding.
Gophers are not as big, tall as the Badgers, but they get to blocking very quick, that's why they confused attackers. Also, since they are not as tall, so when they spike, they hit high, to use the blockers for touch out. Excellent coaching by the Gophers in preparing for this game. Badgers will face an even quicker, faster Nebraska this weekend, got to be ready to move your feet much quicker. On Wisconsin.
She didn't contact or inhibit the play of the middle blocker. They typically only call under the net when they contact another player or get in the way of any player on the other side.
The libero set the ball inside the 10 ft line as she was covering so the next touch can’t be an attack across the net, including dumps. If she didn’t jump, it would have been fine but because she jumped it’s considered an attack. Good call from the refs but it can be confusing at first glance
Basically, when the entire ball is above the top of the net, the back row player must be in the back court or take off the ground from beyond the attack line. Since the ball was above the plain of the net and she was in the front zone, that was the right call actually. :)
Emily Ehman is what I call the "master of the obvious" commentator. "Minnesota can't keep making serving errors if they want to win the match" This great insight and others like it kept coming all match. I was waiting for her to say whichever team scores the most points will win. We got a bunch of the obvious "must win" comments. Same cadence all match and just way too over prepared in remarks. Pretty annoying
I said the same thing. I was listening to the game on mute bc it’s so obvious who she wanted to win. Wisconsin had the same amount of service errors as us and she wasn’t saying anything. She wasn’t giving Minnesota any credit for hanging on with Wisconsin or anything. It’s obvious that her and Michelle doesn’t like Minnesota
Saige Damrow’s defense at the end of the fifth set was insane. She kept Wisconsin alive
Damn you work fast, this game ended like 15 minutes ago lol
fr lmfao i love it tho
Love CC Crawford .. she is a firecracker! So competitive!!
This match was awesome
CC Crawford!!! ❤ Always loved this women’s game!
one of the best matches of the season. both teams had chances to finish the game and the luckier team won
You make your own luck. 😉

On Wisconsin.
What happened to set 4? It went from the end of set 3 to set 5.
Why does it skip set 4?
I'm a Badger fan, but how did Julia not get called under at 1:31:46?

MN #9 or #8 would’ve finished the match point but poor decision making by the setter.
Devyn telling the crowd to quiet at 9:16 lol
Can someone tell me how Charlie can get called on a back row attack when she is in the front row. 38:18 bad call
💯‼️

@@sarahking6898 it was the right call but shaffmaster did a backrow attack in the 5th set and didn’t get called for it
Where is the 4th set?

What a war. Wisconsin is gonna be tired for the weekend.
@@kycone nah, they’re young & it’s only Wednesday. 👍🏼
Well now they have Nebraska who has already swept them. Lol
The refs this game were absolutely awful
