I notice that a lot of youtube creators have the same story where they watched youtube a lot themselves and then decided to start their own channel ✅ Great podcast! Enjoyed it
This week’s guest is right up my alley, like 70% of what what I watch on TH-cam is lifestyle. The colliding worlds of beauty/influencer life and entrepreneurial/business content✨💕
I loveeeee this!!! I've been subscribed to Elena for years (I think since her college days) and Graham for a little over a year so to see the worlds collide is awesome. Elena is doing god's work for so many females that watch her videos and I'm sure has now changed some lives in teaching financial literacy.
Current calculated yearly salary of the podcast: $47,538.48. If the podcast was someone working a 40 hour week every week it would be making $22.86 per hour. That also translates to $5.44 of passive income every hour! The podcast has past the median income in West Virginia, Mississippi, Arkansas, and New Mexico. Edit: Stats from 2018 looking for more updated numbers
Elena if you're reading these comments, I have something to add to your van travel if its coming, you could do a series finding small towns across America and the unique bits of them, I think that would be really cool
Graham asking what Glossier is made my day- this is the closest we’ll get to the Beauty / Finance TH-cam worlds colliding 😂 For real though, you guys should have a big beauty guru on here so we can finally demystify how much they make and how they spend.
So those comments were basically just, "Why rent an apartment in New York when you could live in Alabama in a dumpster" Like omg imagine her having other priorities in her life besides saving every single penny lmao
Almost one month to the day of Elena suggesting you diversify with a little bit of lifestyle content and we get an amazing Iced Coffee Hour with Federico with a great discussion on watch collecting. The advice is already paying off!
Yes this would be great! Have been enjoying her palm springs vlog and her journey into becoming a real estate agent. Feel like this would make a good conversation with Graham and Jack.
i lived in NY and i did have a pretty good deal for NY BUT i still had a hard time justifying the cost of living in NY and how much i was making as a fashion designer. When i started working from home, i just thought it was smarter for me to finish out my lease in new york and then move home and *not* pay rent. Work from home at my parent's place and start saving money to buy a house at some point.
Graham, you keep changing the battery in your camera, look into the Sony A6600, it can record 4k for about 3.5 hours. I use it and it is just fantastic.
The viewers love the cinematics, but when there was a lot of cinematics in one video and than just decreases suddenly that's not really a big problem. We'll appriciate much more the cinematics when there is just a few.
I agree, cinematic elements definitely have diminishing returns the more you add, so I think it’s about testing the balance there. For her lifestyle content I think a few more cinematics are justified compared to finance talks like graham
Elena you have to make all these videos Graham and Jack suggested. Definitely do the jubilee video and how much TH-cam paid you in 2020. Also an updated what you spend in a week. Also I really do appreciate a good cinematic video every once in a while but I'm with Graham on the scale back on the fancy edit and pump out more videos.
Loved Elena! Can you please do a video a more in depth video on 401ks??? You’ve talked about not liking them Graham bc of tax reasons but I need more of an explanation.
As someone who’s only here from Elena’s channel, Graham’s unsolicited advice was so funny. Like her subscribers LOVE the cinema of her videos, where he thinks they don’t appreciate it
Great video and great podcast! Great guest! If she took her time more at the end maybe she could say it better. I didn't know Graham had "lived" in Canada. I didn't realize Shelby Church got so many ideas for her videos from you. 😃
I didn’t know who Elena was before Millennial Money. She makes a lot of good content with high views. Interesting to see the variance in TH-cam creator CPMs. Great topics and interview 👍🏼
how Graham can do lifestyle content: people want to see behind the scenes. you say your day is boring, but we don't understand exactly what you do so it's not boring to us! also, it doesn't have to be a whole day of filming. just film small moments and make it like a weekly vlog. Elena is 100% right that people want to see more of your life because they find you interesting. they might not do as well as other videos, but you can grow / improve.
I am an accountant and I agree with graham. What is best is to diversify. Do some in post tax and some pre tax. No one knows at that time what the tax rate will be in 40 yrs. so if you do some in different style plans it will give you flexibility to manipulate come that time.
Elena's New York series turned me onto her videos, and from the couple months I've watched, I don't think Jubilee reaction videos would do well. It doesn't seem like her style and would come off disingenuous. Then again, how much can you really know about a person's personality in a short hour.
Having watched Elena for a while now, her vlogging and cinematic touch is the reason I continue to watch. Not sure I would watch as consistently if that attention to detail was decreased…
Me and my wife work together, make well over six figures, live out of a very nice 5th wheel RV, and own 4 vacation rentals in Panama City Beach. We also have van that we're currently converting. Definitely recommend the RV or the van life! Would make for some good content for sure.
That’s awesome! My dream is to live out of an RV and travel while being able to maintain a good income. How is it handling the rental properties while also working and traveling? Do you have a property management company?
@@johnma4664 Good luck to you! We don't have a property manager. We have a great group of cleaners and maintenance guys to rely on while we're off traveling for work. We also have cameras on the exterior of the property, auto locks, and nest thermostats so it's easy for us to keep a handle on everything than you might think.
Hey Graham, I want to 'react' to your comment about the 401k. I've been growing my wealth by using my retirement account as a "personal" bank, and it has allowed me to have a fantastic lifestyle and worry-free about my retirement. Here are the two main benefits that I've been counting on: One: Every year, I borrow money from my 401k and use it to acquire out-of-state rental properties. And, as you already know, the rent pays for the mortgage/property tax/and a good portion of the 401k loan repayment. Also, because all interest is paid back to my account, I opt for the most extended repayment term for that extra padding. Second: I live in NYC, and not only do I have to pay Federal tax, but also state and City tax. My 401k allows me to save money for the future and helps lower my tax bill NOW. Once I'm ready to leave NYC, I plan on moving to a no/low-income tax state while taking advantage of the "real estate professional" status. This should allow me to tap into my 401k account tax-free.
If you're concerned about missing things when taking a van instead of an RV then you haven't seen anyone camp like my parents. My parents are in a tent trailer and bring extra supplies and they're still more supplied than a lot of apartments are. When they go camping they aren't missing anything. We might not have as much stuff as they do but even when we go camping we're not missing anything. except for a microwave. That's the one thing we haven't brought yet. In our little teardrop we made we have a TV, hot water with a heated shower, flushing toilet, changing room with closet, Crock-Pot, oven, stove, refrigerator with freezer that keeps ice cream frozen and a blender to make milkshakes at night. We also have a swamp cooler for when it gets hot and several fans and heating when it is too cold.
I prefer to save these for when they drop on podcast to listen while I walk my dog. Always end up watching front to back within the first 10 mins of posting 😑
I want to watch Graham confront a teenager or someone in their early 20s who have really bad financial habit if he can find someone like that willing to do an interview and be honest
This was a fun video. These podcasts are so enjoyable to watch/listen to while I work on Sundays. It helps my work day go by quicker, however, the 90 minute videos can be a bit much for me to watch though.
Bailey was reverse sneezing, I think haha common in small dogs like mine 😂 Don’t panic when it happens, it freaks them out, they go back to normal afterwards
Thanks so much for having me! I’ll definitely be smashing the like button🙃
Thank you for coming on! It was so much fun & you’re welcome back anytime!
Buy an RV or van! You won't regret it. We've lived it full time for 3 years now and love it!
You smash it, the rest of us is going to hunt it down and destroy it. Animal spirits. xD
Dooooo the react video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never saw one of elenas videos but now I want to see all them. 😂
Elena: Me and my boyfriend went on a long van trip.
Jack: damn, you did not just say boyfriend.
I was thinking the same at the time
I can sense Jack's pain When you mentioned bf
I'm only 3.07 minutes in but could tell he was crushing, and now I see this in the comments :') like he's blushing just sitting there
Also Jack is trés cute....
@@MaRyAnN14love ikr 😂
Elena is by far one of the most easygoing youtubers. Not even to mention she is probably the prettiest. Love her
I didn't think I'd listen to an hour long video but here we are. Graham, I love how deep you get into the numbers and statistics!
Thanks so much!!
Moved to America from India two days ago. I'm usually used to watching the podcast at 10:30pm after dinner. Weird watching it at 10am haha
Ah that’s so cool! Welcome!

I found out about her from CNBC and she's great! I really enjoy her content.
yess thanks!!!
definitely my favorite episode yet, she has a great personality
I agree, the Jubilee videos that Graham has reacted to have been some of the more entertaining uploads for me.

Lmao when Graham said, "the tea" he came across as a dad trying to stay hip with his kids. Great episode as always I'm so behind with the episodes

Totally agree! Solo female travel on TH-cam does really well 😊. Start in the south and it won’t be so cold.
She has a point. We like the house tour, remodel or just hanging with Macy videos
I was about to post a missing report for this video. Thank Graham and Jack
Haha enjoy!!
I know 6 minutes late!
One more Lady on the Podcast 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✅💜

Loved the female representation on this channel. When are you going to have Monica Church on this channel? Maybe in her new Palm Springs house?
