You're really setting a standard for yourself, having a catalogue of gadgets for each segment and all of them are full of taste and reflection of what Nothing is "Unique, Standout Design, Tech focused on daily utilities for easier and enriched experience and most important Value for Money". About this product I feel its pretty close to Benchmark, lets see what future holds. Great product all the best.
I've been using a Samsung A31 since mid-2020. After 4 years I felt it's time for an upgrade of one level up, which is "Mid-range" (I consider A31 and similar as "Lower Mid-range". Lower than this is "Upper Budget")). After doing a lot of research, I came up with a shortlist comprising of phones within a certain price range. In order of preference: Poco F6, Samsung A55, Nothing 2a and Vivo V30. But the shop I went to last week didn't have Poco F6 (more bang for the buck than F6 Pro in my opinion) or A55. I didn't want to go to their HQ which stocks these, nor do I want to buy online. So I got Nothing 2a. I don't know whether the F6, A55 and V30 would have been better. Too late for that now anyway. But in not buying V30, there's money left to get a MCDODO 33W dual output fast charger and other accessories for the Nothing 2a. It takes a while to get used to things upon moving from the Samsung A31 (like finding the previous apps launched etc.) but after a week with it, I can honestly say that I have no complaints. In fact, there's some satisfaction in using a phone from a company that genuinely tries to offer something a bit fresher than the typical Android, and also not loaded with too much bloatware. I'm hoping this company will continue to be around and coming up with newer models in the years to come.
People don't realise how good this phone is for the price... 100% DCI-P3, HDR 10.. display.. best software experience second to stock Android.. great design. Processor should've been Snapdragon (no custom rom support i know, but if nothing make an agreement with Mediatek to release kernel sources, people can make custom roms for it)but i can live with that. This gonna be the best selling phone of 2024 hands down.

In practicality, it's gonna be better for sure compared to mid-range pixels, at least in battery life, customisation, and design. Camera might not outperform the pixel but must be great. Ultimate value king imo. Afterall Pixel costs more, but offers wireless charging and IP68 rating.

Pre ordered one. The 4 year update and the 1 year Perplexity Pro subscription worth it alone. I am a huge Pixel fan and this is the perfect successor for the Pixel 5(even tough a lot bigger, this is the only aspect i don't really like). Also for those who have problem with no adapter, in my preorder i got the adapter with a 180mm usb-c cable for less then the adapter alone and the Case and screen protector for the same price as just the case...I don't know why they don't advertise this more but it is basically discounted in bundles.

I'm a bit late on this But I have just this got this phone...and not even24 hours in....coming from a pixel 8, and I will say the design is flawless, my experience has been second to none and i have never enjoyed using a phone more. Nothing is 100% the future and I am definitely looking forward to my next Nothing device, not even 24hrs into having my first one. Nothing os is ingenious and for the price the phone in my opinion is by far better than the pixel 8 which in honestly i absolutely loved.
IMPOSSIBLE! How can an item be out of stock when it’s just the pre-order period? That doesn’t make sense. It’s a pre order, shouldn’t every variant be available for order? So why 8 128GB Black is the only variant available at your partner store in the Philippines? The store is Digital Walker. I’m talking about online pre orders. My excitement falls from 100-0 really quickly. I was so excited about getting my hands on Milk 12 256 variant but since it was never available, my excitement is turning into something else because of the store inability to provide updates. The phone's super fast, clean software, but this software cannot compete with Samsung's oneui, I switched from s22+ and I can feel some features are beneficial but missing here.. like modes, auto brightness toggle button, nothing gallery, nothing music, lock screen customisation, fonts, alarm function doesn't seem very user friendly, weather app is black and white which looks dull etc.... cameras are very inconsistent... The phone is ok, but basic features should not be missing. Overall a fast phone but lacks way behind software features. Clean software doesn't mean no features.
And yeah, battery charging is very inconsistent, sometimes takes more than 2 hours for full, sometimes it's 1 hour, and it shows charging rapidly, but the power grows from 20 to 28 in 20 25 minutes.
Guys, I sold the phone after 25 days, the phone is super boring.. zero customisation, sorry to say but nothing os sucks.. need to wait for 5 6 generations of phone to buy nothing again.. back to samsung, The Android King 🤴
The only thing that could be added to this phone, since wireless charging has been removed, is to make this line throughout the body a glyph or glowing, like a charging indicator. and not just a decorative element
Phone (2a) is a downgrade from even the Phone (1) in some aspects such as the lack of wireless charging & reverse wireless charging, plastic back and frame which is less premium and scratches easier, not to mention less glyph goodness and no recording light indicator, sure it is a slight upgrade in terms of speed (not by much) and battery, probably has better life than even Phone (2), overall cool and competitive for the price but its not a clear upgrade over the Phone (1) like the regular Phone (2) is.
Wireless charging is the most useful advancement in technology. It's basically "cableless". Every technology advancement in the past from wired to wireless led to more mobility. This is the only abomination of so-called wireless advancement that led to less mobility. On top of it, it's slower & is bad for battery health. If it were upto me, I wish it never existed. I don't need it & will never want it!

Hello nothing team, I've somehow got a chance to interact with 2a. There are few problems i would like to express which addressed can be an huge advantage to get that sales on. 1. Cameras definitely need some some software tuning, colours are inconsistent. White balance seems a bit of sometimes. Wide angle definitely need some work on shadow balance, it tends to make the image more darker than usual. Not appeasing to the eyes 2. Personally, i feel that the shutdown animation weren't in sync with the widgets on closing. Just a minor Change i felt, idk if its the same for all 3.the design is the best I've seen in the industry that has an added value in buying the product but in india, which can potentially be a big market, people here focus on mainly on the cameras and there are some phones with better cameras in the same price range. Even i had a double thought of buying another even though it compensated with your other strengths. If you can possibly change and tune some minor changes, who knows it can be the revolutionary Nothing era. 3. Caller tunes i feel its a little more dull, if you can make it more unique, that's another identity you got added to glyphs. And with that i should praise the design, man its making me curious over an iPhone. The Ui is awesome i can buy these to my parents in india. Perfect for stable use. Audio is on point crisp. Display is great. The real iPhone killer 📈🔥
Beautiful device at a great price! I was hoping to have been able to say that about Nothing 2 but I'm glad I can finally say it about 2a. Great job by the design team and engineering team. This phone will be a very strong seller I think because the features and design are hard to beat. So hard to choose a colour because they both look great. However I do wish the black was slightly lighter because in normal or slightly dimmer lighting it just looks black and you miss out on the transparency. Stunning under bright light though. I really love that they used a plastic back because you cannot get that licalicious shiny, smooth, curvaceous design with glass. To my eyes the design and choice of colours and materials is an instant classic of beautiful and thoughtful design. Well done Nothing Team. 😊
Couldn't you support 12-bit Rec.2100 Colour Gamut for an AMOLED screen? DCI-p3 is the physical limit of LCD screens as it's a non-emissive type display.

Even though i dont like the design i will say that i like that they tried something new design wise INTERNALLY meaning it’s aesthetically different from 2 and 1 but not just made blandly cheap just to differ from their top models. One plus Nord springs to mind. The price is a killer too so.

Don't get me wrong but people in India gives more importance to specs instead of software after using powerful phone with shit software for a long time now I'm settled with nothing, no hate but simple suggestion to my fellow Indians please buy a overall balanced phone according to your usage and don't forget about software experience and those who are complaining about the UFS 2.1 its not a big deal when you are mindlessly scrolling reels and shorts, buy something you can relay on and not just playing games like BGMI all day, trust me 4 years back i was also like need best specs and best processor but now when you think phone as a depreciation asset of your life you will come to know that getting a better experience is more important than comparing phone based on on paper specifications.✌️
sure all of the guys on the team love the design and most ppl in the comments seem to love it but, the thing is, not really personally either, it looks just does not elegant and sleek. I love the company because they are making phones that look like phones. Take the glyph fir example, all the lights we love, just reduced to 3 lil led’s. Like cmon guys? Just bought it here in Dubai, bought this phone just because of Carl Pei, What a visionary CEO, I will be back with some reviews after some months.

Even though i dont like the design i will say that i like that they tried something new design wise INTERNALLY meaning it’s aesthetically different from 2 and 1 but not just made blandly cheap just to differ from their top models. One plus Nord springs to mind. The price is a killer too so.

Don't get me wrong but people in India gives more importance to specs instead of software after using powerful phone with shit software for a long time now I'm settled with nothing, no hate but simple suggestion to my fellow Indians please buy a overall balanced phone according to your usage and don't forget about software experience and those who are complaining about the UFS 2.1 its not a big deal when you are mindlessly scrolling reels and shorts, buy something you can relay on and not just playing games like BGMI all day, trust me 4 years back i was also like need best specs and best processor but now when you think phone as a depreciation asset of your life you will come to know that getting a better experience is more important than comparing phone based on on paper specifications.✌️

sure all of the guys on the team love the design and most ppl in the comments seem to love it but, the thing is, not really personally either, it looks just does not elegant and sleek. I love the company because they are making phones that look like phones. Take the glyph fir example, all the lights we love, just reduced to 3 lil led’s. Like cmon guys?

What u guys doing is not cool u manufacture in chennai and will not have a place to see it its insanely bad you guys want the guys close to the manufacturing facility to go to other places and try it. I never thought that nothing would do something like this and we guys from chennai were so curious about 2A but without feeling it buying it is impossible as it has competitors such as redmi, vivo, samsung, oppo, oneplus and so on who give chances to feel their mobile by any chance u are launching it to chennai your best choice for a mall would be VR chennai as it is most popular crowded one in chennai and a place where u might get a best sales, As it has most of the mobile showrooms guys who wanna feel would come there and your 2A would be a top attraction over there. Hope your brand goes to the top and as a fanboy of nothing I am talking about it not only chennai but u can have tieup with some offline retailers so u would be the best selling brand and hit your goal of making an android ecosystem.
