If Mullen had been calling plays that year we'd have won a championship for sure. That team was fucking loaded and had one of the sickest defensive units ever, it's just a shame they had no offense despite all the talent there (burton, reed, driskel. gilleslie, jones, etc).
The scary part about Florida's Defense that year is that they didn't have any absolutely no video to watch Texas A&M cause their first game was cancelled and new Head Coach and future first year QB Heisman winner in control of a Fire Offense and they held A&M to 17 points and only 2 first downs in the 2nd half. that's just straight up Nasty.
squarecracker probably, had a spread QB playing pro style football. I still hate USC for not scoring from the yard line 4 times so they could’ve beaten Notre Dame and Florida would’ve played Bama in the National championship.
Believe it or not, the defense played well in the first half too. Florida had aTm stopped a couple of times, and aTm needed a few next to miracle plays to convert (bad PF call, a 1 handed falling catch) on scoring drives. Florida could have easily held them to just 7 points the whole game
Yah, they would. Louisville was about the 5th best team Florida played. There's no coincidence that Florida struggled against inferior teams, while dominating good teams (LSU, F$U, aTm, USC). Louisville lost to Freakin' UCONN, who lost to NC State, who got destroyed by Tennesse... so on, so forth. Upsets happen, Louisville Upset Florida. I have dealt with it. I've also dealt with our 3 national titles over the last 15 years.
I feel ya. That's what happens when you have a month to let complacency set in. I was worried about this game as soon as it was announced. If they would have played OU (like they should have), I think we would have seen a different team. If Florida and Louisville played a mid-season game, Florida's defense doesn't give up more than 10. Florida's played much better offenses through the year. Florida complacency + Bridgewater being on fire=upset. It's not the first time this has happened to a team
After the season before I wont lie, I thought the Gators would win until I heard about Manziel and his greatness in high school and I thought, Oh shit, the whole game.

Then Teddy Bridgewater challenged them......... never had a chance.
@@muddywaters2818 Mullen would have won a title with that team

Driskel is in the NFL still... Mullen would’ve easily won
Kyle Fuqua anyone can be in the NFL now a days lol. Basically if you’re 6ft4 or taller and can throw it 60+ yards down field you’re automatically in.
If he says snaps one off one more time I'll die
We had a sign taken away from us before kickoff, that said ‘We Mess with Texas.’ Glad we got a win.
update y'all messed with texas
I really believe that had TAMU’s 1st game didn’t get cancelled, they prolly win this game.
Verne is right up there with him...

No matter what people say. I love this guy. And no I'm not a fan of Texas A&M
What a hard taught W! Go Gators!

Great game and good job with the video/editing, from a Tide fan.

It's weird to see Leach coaching for Florida lol

Manziel developed so much as the season went on
He was who he was, at all times.
