from seeing her in the documentary to this performance is like watching a completely different person, she truly becomes the princess! amazing artistry and technique!
Now that was much better! If this was before her injury, I can see how badly it effected her, if this is after, I can see she's not all bad all the time. She's even good. If this was during, then holy damn.
So happy to see her in that role, she looks joyfull and her lines are beautifull! so designed wauw! I truly believe one day she will be a principal(maybe not in bolshoi) I just love it
She's missing the effervescence and lightness this PDD requires. Very low energy. The steps are correct and she certainly has jaw-dropping extensions but she seems suited for lyrical dance. I do like her arms.
I agree with pediatrapaola, Betti Boop, lissbirds, vanesa camara and Mouschka. I might add that although iI like her arms, I really don't like how she moves them!
I have and that does not mean she is not working hard. With all the drama around her I feel bad for her, she still does her job with all that horrible pressure on her. I think she is having her "Alina Somova" phase right now from being thrust into the spotlight so quickly which is resulting in the same way Somova did by looking a hot mess at times.
Most Florines do the beginning bourres en point but not Skorik it is demi point for her! She has great extension, lovely legs but her dancing is artificial and she never relates to her partner--just com pare her to Stepanova, what a bluebird the latter was!
She just doesn't have the musicality that is needed or as the French would say "panache". She needs to work on her facial expressions. She is just flat. However, she does have amazing extensions.
That is an absurd statement. She has developed a reputation for superb and unique musicality, and it shone through in this performance. Her musicality is one of her traits that critics consistently point out. One of the best performances of Florine that I have ever seen, albeit, she is a little hesitant in her projection. Watching this performance, one sees in seconds why she was promoted to principal. She is one of the most talented dancers to come around in our lifetime.
I can't help but wonder whether your comments are generated by an automaton or computer robot. Oxana Skorik is anything but a musical genius and even if she was, this perf would be a terrible exception because she falls constantly behind the already funeral march-like tempo. What critics? Link please? I say it genuinely because i never read so called "ballet critics". Doesn't exist a thing such as "professional ballet criticism". Thanks God i have eyes to see, ears to listen and a technical knowledge good enough to evaluate if a dancer is prima level or not. Yes, Oxana's rare talent would be her over-splited penchées, over-head, misaligned arabesques and ear-height developpes. However, since hyperflexibility is a "must have" for any low rank, low profile company professional dancer these days, i wouldn't rave too much about Oxana's rare talent. Now that i think about it, her deaf musicality and total lack of lyrical understanding or approach to the art of ballet are probably the main reasons for the public's general disapprovement of her, shall we say, dubious promotions... In fact i was growing some kind of greater sympathy for her dancing, until i saw her Auroras (début AND 2nd cast in november). Holy Lord...
She doesn't know how to fill slow tempos...And i haven't seen such wooden Blue Bird in my entire life... I feel very sorry for people who payed money to see this.
What on earth are you talking about? Musicality? Are you "Norma Mimosa"»? Because you use the same excuse of an argument - what critics say about her... The thing about Oksana is that the only thing that goes well when she dances are her legs pointing to the sky and her Mother Nature-given long lines. This variation, old as it is, proves what i am saying. She's constantly out of tempo!
+alecsia96 I have no idea what critics used to say about her, i've never read any ballet criticism. I just see what i see. The unmusical, technically weak dancer with zero personality, who's presence among MT principals is a great mystery for me and many other ballet fans.
She is just fabulous.I think she will manage to go on a top from such a bottom of her early days.Want her to be a true success story.Bravo,Oxana!
Так танцевать в 20 лет, как Оксана, это фантастика. Лучший дуэт, который видела.
Оксанка красиво, как всегда!

all her hard work is paying off!
She had a beautiful arms
She's getting better and better! The thing I love about her is that she can control her insane flexibility!
I think Safin is fantastic! Boy can he jump!
👏👏👏👏👏👏💐💐💐🙌⛅
1:33-1:34 slight feet adjustment for those seated. 1:50-151 costume shedding.😬 STILL O.S. is FIERCE!👏👏👏🌷🌷🌷

El chico baila feitooooooooooooo..............
somethings odd about that coda.
She looks ike shes having a hard time with the choreography. Everything but the high extensions are giving her trouble.
yes RBV is her greatest fan and me the second after him LOL

I'm not a fan of the guy..... He is really boring.
They don't seem to have a lot of fun ...
I am trying so hard to like her. But how can someone with such a good training in classical arts be so unmusical?

alecsia96 Nasty, uninformed, bullying comment.
The dude is not a blue bird, more like a dead bird :(
imo she is really awful,is ridicolous that is first soloist in mariinsky .

+reanimato1 - An extraordinarily talented dancer, known by the critics for her musicality. Stunning!
JNK What stunning?
***** Novikova, Osmolkina, Kolegova...
