Love it. 1979 Reed driving a Pontiac Firebird formula. Dom “where did you learn how to drive?” Reed is wearing the same hat he wore in Smokey and the Bandit 2 also with Dom.
Silly movie trying weakly to be serious, but I enjoyed every minute. Tonnes of characters and it looked like everyone was having a great time filming it. I can just imagine how often they had to cut because the cast must have cracked up laughing.
Never heard a Jerry Reed song or saw a Jerry Reed movie that I didn't like. Thanks for the upload. :D Whew! They didn't blow up the Firebird. They blew up a Camaro. :D
A bit slow in the beginning, but a good build-up nonetheless. Enjoyable and quiten funny, worth the watch! Never watched this before - and it just appeared in my YT feed. Introducig that security dog @31:00 - hilarious!
Little did the guy in the beginning running with the guitar knew at this time , was that this role would lead him to great success as 18 years later he would cameo as illegal alien in the movie men in black !!! And right at the beginning of the film again just like before, For like a solid 3 minutes!!!!! Hell of a career!
45 years old! It’s hot stuff indeed based on the real life “deep cover” police operation in America The late Dom Deluise’s directorial debut and co-stars with Suzanne Pleshette and Jerry Reed Granted we spend a lot of time in this shop for the first 50 minutes but it finally has a change of scenery when the stakes are raised There’s even some exciting gun fights sprucing things up next to some cool explosions There’s even a final brawl near the end that’s all kinds of crazy When it comes to real black marketers things can escalate out of control Some catchy 1970s tunes too This 70s cop flick is very funny and quite a treat for an easy viewing
Donald Westlake wrote the screenplay... Funniest Mystery Writer ever! He also based it on a true story [HUH??] Biggest Bonus: Suzanne Pleshette... who was NEVER more smokin'! Yowza!
The ultimate cop movie were everything goes right the wrong way! The ultimate line for me is : You look at my car I still have 32 more payments on this car!
This is a great movie, a lot of fun, but too bad I watched it yesterday on another channel, because their copy wasn't too good, hard to see, but this looks a lot clearer, dagnabbit. Also the description is the right one here, the other channel had a totally different description of the plot. This looks more closer to a DVD version, instead of a bad VHS recording, like the other. Oh heck, maybe I will watch it again anyway, so I can actually see it this time, lol! Also Dom Deluise directed this movie too, the other channel had someone else. Don't know what movie they thought they were describing was, but it wasn't this one, lol! My only gripe here is they give way too much of the story away here, so I suggest only read the first part and don't go too far down so you won't have it spoiled on you. I've subscribed just because of this movie and it's better quality from the other.
DD, like John Candy, was a diamond in the rough for more dramatic roles(imo). You can see a glimpse of it here. Candy showed it in JFK, as the conn3cted Louisiana guy....disturbing, off putting g and frightening. Robin Williams did it a couple times too. Comedians acting very serious add a new dimension to their skill base.
🤠 imagine the behind the scenes behavior that went on while filming this masterpiece of schtick comedy mel broooks nominated it four for awards and won them all...???- - -
The one curse word that should not really be thrown around so nonchalantly. I didn’t realize it was so prominent in this movie. I really could not recommend it because of that.
I love these 70’s movies the soundtrack is SO FUNKY!! RIP ALL THE ACTORS. YOU ARE MISSED.
Fun movie. Watching at 64. Miss the comedy from my youth. Thank you.
RIP Dom…. Your laughter lives on! And has given us many laughs of our own. God bless
I was 16 when this made it to the theatres. So many great memories, I would love to go back….R.I.P. Suzanne, Dom and Jerry
Bum me out! They're all dead?! The lord budha teaches us the impernenance of all things.
sister and I would watch this over and over in the early days of HBO, miss all of it so much!
Love it. 1979 Reed driving a Pontiac Firebird formula. Dom “where did you learn how to drive?” Reed is wearing the same hat he wore in Smokey and the Bandit 2 also with Dom.
One of the best comedies ever, I was 19 years or so.
A very good movie a nice screwball comedy needed for times like these
Ultimate 70's film

I SAW THIS MOVIE AT THE ARCADE THEATER (DOWNTOWN L.A) WHEN IT CAME OUT IN 1979
Suzanne Pleshette...absolutely gorgeous
"I just had it washed." A very underrated line.
This one is a Very Funny Movie Especially! with Don Deluise and Jerry Reed
A bit slow in the beginning, but a good build-up nonetheless. Enjoyable and quiten funny, worth the watch! Never watched this before - and it just appeared in my YT feed. Introducig that security dog @31:00 - hilarious!

@@redorblue8124 I was never a fan of her like that. So it felt hypocritical to say it
Cool. I liked her, especially in Newhart's show. Her deep voice was a turn-on.
@@johnogrady2418 She was definitely attractive
jerry reed died???
Thank u great movie great download
I just realised that I saw this in the theatre when it was first released. So long ago that the title here didn't click. Must be getting old.😅
"...it burns my ass."
"You know what burns my ass...? A flame this high!"
Still funny.
It's great to see Gerry Reed. If you haven't heard it, check out his guitar playing

Thank you for uploading!
I've never seen Dom Deluise use swear words until now.
Burt must have been busy that day😂
Anyone noticed that he drove a blue Pontiac Firebird, but blew up a blue Chevrolet Camaro?
Yes I did
Cause I love both of them
Chevy haters I guess.
I'm sure S that you are not a woman ♀️👠😊. Only Man 👞♂️ kan notesy that...😂

"Lock up those liberal judges."
We're still waiting for that in 2024.
courts are all packed by MAGA fascists waiting to dismantle democracy and put a GOP dictator in office.
See some things never change. They’ve only gotten worse. Suffice it to say, things are going to get worse before they get a worse.
WHERE BANDIT... THIS MY 1ST TIME C-ING THIS MOVIE... IT'S 😂. I LIKED D.D.&J.R. BTW IF I'M A COP I'M HAVE BACKUP.🔫
I saw Arnie's "I'll be back" originated from this film. Also Anthony Michael Hall mimicking Dom's chomping at marijuana smoke!
Hilarious.
Anything with Jerry Reed, I'm in. And Suzy P? She was hot!! A family affair for the DeLuise's. ' you got the beat shit outta ya' 😆
The original Miami Vice
that was Dom's real family
Is this a Burt Reynolds movie w/o Burt?
Yeah. They even got a guy that looks like him for the pool hall scene.
Jerry impersonation of burt
I think this is the one movie the "crew" made without Burt!
Where is the sound?

Good ete Sherlock

The Air Force really did this years ago in Alabama. Rattlesnake in cage for pictures. Had to stop when airman drove up with a real jet engine to hawk!
