A situation similar to this happened to me and still till this day my brother owes me. I believe family do you wrong before a stranger will because they know 8 times out of 10 you won't hurt them to the extent that will bring hurt to your mother. Still till this day I don't understand how my brother took my money while I was at my lowest point facing a life sentence. The pain runs deep but I try my best to imitate the ways of the most high through forgiveness.
You said some real suff, actually touched me I remember coming home not being able to function correctly due to the different style of living I remember crying because the kids was running around yelling doing them, I wasn't used to it loud music I wasn't able to function seeing how much my daughter growing up feeling like I don't know her I can sure relate to this story

Every man and woman that walked out the doors of a prison is a survivor and we don't know the damage it may have on them, they may look ok but sometimes your heart never heals and your body falls apart.
I swear I tell people this all the time you never know a persons state of mind so don’t just call and lay the world on there shoulders. I started therapy and had to learn to set boundaries and know I don’t have to listen.
You're exactly right about passing things down to our children because we have traumas and untreated childhood issues that we had to learn to endure, as well as unhealthy relationships rooted in codependency added to it. That's a next level anxiety I deal with every day and all I have at the end of the day is faith in God's process and presence.

I was in a long relationship with what was my best friend until we took further and I regret that we chose to be more cuz when it doesn't wrk out & ends badly u not only loose ur partner u also loose ur friend. Anyways we met in school was friends when he was 19 he got sent to prison for 7yrs we kept in touch I was there for him the 7yrs he never went without $ for commissary he kept $ for phone time. I went to visit him once a month 8hrs on Sat 4hrs on Sun the day he was released I was how went to pick him up made sure he had whatever he needed a place to stay helped him get a car & a job during all this time we was only friends he had been out for about 2yrs when we decided to become more everything was great for about 1yr. I noticed frm day 1 something about him was different like he had no kinda trust really prison dnt help most ppl it makes somethings about them worse if not all I've seen a few ppl that it actually helped but for the most part it jus fks em up even more . So lil bit after we was together a lil ova a yr it's like a switch was flipped on and he was so possessive, jealous ova everyone ,wanted me to be around him 24/7 it's was crazy but my dumb @$& jus kept blaming it on the time he did and that he jus needed a lil more time out here in the world to get bk to himself. Before he had the chance to do so he end up going bk but this time he got 10 yrs . I was so crushed I continued to do as I did the first time everything the same the only difference was we was in a relationship this time around and I was loyal all I did was go to wrk & home to take care of my children after 2 1/2 yrs of me not wanting nobody else when other men was interested in wanting to go on a date, exchange # or things of that nature I wld let it be known I was in a relationship. So one day I had checked the mail after I got off frm wrkn a 12hr shifti had a letter frm him and he wasn't or cldnt even be man enough to call me to tell me that he loves me but he cldnt be in a relationship wit me anymore cuz of it was to hard to be wit me and he locked up and I'm not which I understood that part the issue that I had was why he tell me in a letter not a phone call . When ur in a relationship wit someone and u really care & love that person it's hard on both of u not jus the one locked up cuz whoever u wit even tho they are still out in the world it dnt feel like it cuz u feel like ur doing time wit him. When u love a person when they're ripped away frm u by being locked up or they're taken frm u by murda or death it's a different kinda hurt than if u jus went separate ways.
