The sq7 is the original high performance 3 row family suv I don't think they need to change anything its the reason why the rsq8 and uris are so popular. The platform is tried snd and true

I was not a fan of the chrome vertical lines on the grille so I ordered my 2022 SQ7 with the black optic package and it mostly solves the weird grill. I think new grille is mostly an improvement, interior looks identical to the current 2022.

Id assume the split headlight is done to cut costs? Since id assume cramming dlrs, etc in one housing is a bit more challenging engineering/production wise

Audi need a revamp in the interior. This interior has almost 6 years, back in 2018 and is clearly outdated compared to BMW and MB.

@@joshuathomas512 well IMO audi and land rover took same approach with double screens and land rover already moved on to something more modern.

Well, if you are a fan of the new MB interior, then I really don't know what to say. Mercedes is going full Cyberpunk, and I definitely like the Audi style more, where it still has traditional layout even with the not so needed climate-control screen.

Lets not forget how long the E36 BMW was in production. What is the Porsche 911 if not an ever lasting re hash of the same thing improved incrementally over time? Maybe even having to take a step back to allow for room for improvements, i.e. 911 S/T with its slower steering ratio and such. In my humble opinion, there isnt a need, aside from regualtory mandates, to re do an entire car from the core, when sometimes the design is already optimized and works well. At that point, all that would be required is updated headlamps, tailamps, and exterior trim pieces every couple of years to perhaps showcase the latest lighting tech or whatever. I really loved the old cell phone i had. It did its job perfect at the time. The only reason the new one is better is the software and its 5G functionality. On the outside its a different story.

I was never a fan of the Q7. It was always very bland and boring looking (which is rather par for the course with Audi). This new design is much better!!! I would actually consider it now. And now, with this new refresh, looks like the time to get one. If the next gen will have a split headlight design, then I'm out. I utterly despise that trend that many automakers are doing.

10 years, of course no need to invest more on ICE. But notice the PHEV is getting hot. If they invest a new model Q7 PHEV, a hugh demand just like Toyota. Why is there a demand for PHEV, 1st the depreciation is less, compare a Toyota Prius with any EV, Prius depreciates around 5-10& within 2 years, where EV depreciates 50%, aggregate supply/lower new prices.

The vertical chrome bars of the Audi grills are a signature style for the S-series models. I'm glad they got rid of them for the new SQ7 and hope they disappear from the S-series entirely. I really prefer the new grill despite the large hatch design. Very rugged look befitting a big SUV. Audi interiors are simply out of this world. Even models from the late 2000s although dated now are still nicer than many modern vehicle interiors. They are extremely well-designed and beautiful. A perfect blend of cutting-edge while retaining a classic elegance that stands the test of time.
The SQ5 exhaust pictured briefly is disgusting. I never knew about that. Shame on Audi. There's absolutely NO justification to have an exhaust pipe like that on a high-end vehicle. Tailpipes through shrouded cut-outs are one thing, but a completely fake exhaust is inexcusable and reason enough to avoid purchasing in my opinion.
