Freddie wasn't political but he believed deeply in social change, to unite people for a greater world. He was raised in the ancient religion of Zoroastrianism Parsi. They believe that there is a continuous battle between good and evil and that good forces will win if people do good deeds for others. Good thoughts, good words, good deeds and a great sense of charity within the community. Freddie was love. 💫

The combination between the powerful lyrics and the powerful voice😢 It feels like Freddie is praying from the depths of his heart.❤

That is what happens with songs like "In the Ghetto" and If "I can dream" by Elvis Presley, they do make you feel a lot, they still are telling today a life story and are done soon 50 years ago....
To think that songs are done in that manner that makes them sound like they wrote them 5 minutes ago, but where written soon 50 years ago, naturally it helps that Elvis sings them to, he put i so much feelings !!!

BTW, This was the same song that Brian & Freddie were asked to perform at Live Aid… They performed it as an Encore, as part of that day-long event’s closing numbers later in the evening.

Freddie gave a lot of money away anonymously, Freddie's PA said Freddie would see someone on the news who lost his job, and was about to lose their home, Freddie would send a check through one of his business and save their home, the family never knew it was Freddie.

When performed at LIVE AID, people thought it had been written specifically for the event -- but no, Freddie and Brian came up with it in the studio. Sort of rolled out. And yes, gets more relative every day, every month, every year. We just keep asking the question it seems. Harder to roll out the solutions, isn't it

  • @bjw0515

Yes, unfortunately it still applies today. It is such a beautiful song that was written. The Millionaires Waltz" is a good one to react to and also "Cool Cat". Another opera one is The Golden Boy.

You might check out at least 3 songs by each member. For example John Deacon wrote some amazing songs like Another One Bites The Dust, Spread Your Wings, Your My Best Friend, One Year Of Love, Friends Will Be Friends, I Wanna Break Free. Then do some that they all were credited with. ❤

Freddie was known for refusing to sing political songs, but this hits home... yes, unfortunately, it is as relevant today as it was then, 40 years ago... "White Man" is another song where you listen to the last verse of the song, it rings true also.. blessings.
P.S.: Roger, on the other hand, has been quite vocal about his politics with "Dear Mr. Murdoch", "Gangsters Are Running This World", "Nazis" and "The Unblinking Eye", all are pretty powerful statements... love to Roger...

This is Queen's encore at Live Aid. Interestingly enough, Freddie was born in Zanzibar and grew up in India while attending boarding school there. He had an interesting outlook on poverty and helpless people, having witnessed people starving and dying on the streets as a reality of daily life. He felt that there was nothing that would really ever change it, that it had always been a part of our world and always would be. For that reason, Queen really didn't get involved in many benefits because Freddie (and perhaps the others as well) felt that giving a lump of money only changed things for a moment and really didn't elevate the quality of life for the people if in fact, the collected money ever even got to the needy and was not confiscated by the governments in those places. Beautiful song with so much feeling and heart. Thank you for your reaction.

Beautiful song co-written by Freddie & Brian May!! It really made an impact at Live Aid as an encore performance in the evening!! Please react to SOUL BROTHER written by Freddie for Brian, who thought it was fab! ☮️✌️

July 13, 1985, at Wembley Stadium in London, Prince Charles and Princess Diana officially open Live Aid, a worldwide rock concert organized to raise money for the relief of famine-stricken Africans.

Great idea to do a mixture of different moods of song. If you feel inclined please do ''No one but You' written and sung by the other band members after Freddies death and 'Say its Not True' by Roger. You will need hankies!!

This song was was on their 1984 album. Then needed a ballad to finish it up quickly. So Brian and Freddie just wrote it together there and then together which never happened before. It fit the Live Aid theme in 1985 so they sand it as an end to the concert.

@@ReactifyMe7220no you don't have to pause. If you take a video from Queen's official site, it will never be blocked because Queen want their music reach new young audience like you. About talking ... wait until the end of the song and then share your emotions/opinion.
