Video idea:
So including every color variant and 1 mii, there are 72 characters in the game. You can make 8 randomized teams with that, perfect for a tournament.
Put every character and their variant on a spinning wheel to draft 8 random teams. To add the mii, just spin another wheel with every mii color and have the winning color represent the mii in the tournament.
The only problem would be the small chance a team does not have a captain in it. In that case you can either put 1 captain in each time beforehand (and put the remaining 4 in the wheel) , or randomly trade a captain from one team that has more than 1.

I never really got to play this game as a kid, someone broke my disk the literal day after I got it 😢, but the GameCube one is my jam so I super super love to watch this one of course too!!!

I've been a long time fan of the bowsman in center, absoluted goated. Pinta in center? not so much. That said I think he is pretty good in right with his laser beam. Also most of the characters he has synergy with are good at second so cut offs to third are really nice too.
After watching a few of your videos I've noticed that people are not using the fire power up to take out the first basemen. Since it enters the screen from the right as someone is throwing to first you can spawn the fire in on top of the first baseman to always take them out. I was wondering if the dolphin net play lag add to much variance to be able to go for precise item plays like that.
Ooh good idea! Though sometimes it comes from the left, I think it depends on the hitter being lefty/righty
