Super late to the party but god damn this is such an incredible cocktail! I had been diving into Mezcal Maragaritas lately and then Mai Tais and now I combined the two and finally tried the Tia Mia and it just knocked my socks off!
This is what I mixed up:
1 oz Madre Mezcal (I wanted something nice and smoky and this one fits the bill)
    3/4 oz Appleton Signature
1/4 oz Compagnie des Indes Jamaica Navy Strength Rum (I wanted to spike the rum portion of the cocktail with some extra funk and strength)
    1/2 oz Dry Curacao
    3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Orgeat ( I made my own which is comparable to a 2:1 simple in terms of sweetness)
bla bla shake and strain, crushed ice and mint.
    dude... omg
    so. fucking. good!

Dying over this recipe and really want to make this but can't get dry curacao where i am....any suggestions on substitute?

Hmmm that's thought because dry Curacao has such a distinct flavor. You can try Cointreau but it won't be exactly the same.
