Cool. Thank you for the video. I wasn't sure if the cables where small like headphone cables. Two cables is nothing. Should be picking one up this weekend for $30. Has a broken sensor bar wire. Has the component cables though so. Good deal long as I get it.
Hey there! This video is so old I had to rewatch it to see what I did to answer your question (also cringed at my production quality back then lol). What I did was fold them in opposing directions and wrapped them in electrical tape. It'll keep them apart. But what I would do now is wrap each individual wire in electrical tape and then wrap both of them together in electrical tape. You can also use heat shrink if you're feeling fancy :)
Next time you get one, try to solder it straight to the PCB it’s better that way you don’t have the center part that you have solder
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely keep that in mind next time :)
Thanks, the wires are so thin that it’s like working with a human hair
Yeah I do remember it being a pain to work with them. Hence the poor electrical tape job 🤣

Tri-wing screws is what I always heard them called
@@YearOfTheDadGaming this is an older video What did I call them? Y screws? If so I misspoke lol
You could also use candles as a wii sensor bar
Too risky

How do you keep the two different colored wires from touching after you solder them?

Thank you very much i'll try this!
nice I was wondering if I could this
I have repaired one and resoldered to the pcb i just cut the wires and desoldered of the pcb
I had to scrape the Wires because they have a coating on them that you have to scrape off You can’t solder to them. Unless you scrape them clean
Mine is broken like half way down any way I can connect the wire to the wire?
You should be able to snip the wires, strip them and solder them to the board. Though it'll definitely be a lot shorter :)
im here because my cat malcom bit through my sensor bar wire
😂😂😂 My wife's cat licks dust. And mine is obsessed with drains. They're very odd creatures.
