Christa Kiser you'll find most brands such as Gelish and OPI etc are professional use only as well. There's plenty of other brands out there available to non professionals or alternatively magpie will be doing education if you're in the U.K. You can actually get trained.
Gelish isn't pro only. You can get that at Sally's. OPI also has home gel polish too. Magpie should make a home gel line considering their huge home user client base. It's annoying that if I want these I need a friend with a license to buy them. Meanwhile I apply gel better than she does and I am unlicensed.
Cherie O'Dell Gelish is professional only as with Sally's you can only buy them if you have a Sally's trade card and OPI is the same it actually states on all the bottles they're professional use only.

Great video! Could you share what kinds of lamp you used to cure this polish. I tried to use my 48w UV Lamp to cure it but the polish was not fully cured.
Hiya, I thought the advise was to scrub each nail for a minimum of 10 seconds with prep and dehydrate, and yet you just gave a brief wipe......can I also where you get your lint free wipes from please? Thank you!,
Please bear in mind this video is now over 2 years old! It was when the gels were first launched and even before Magpie Education was around so the whole process has completely changed since I did this video. Yes it is advised to scrub the nails for 10 seconds each and to use a new lint free wipe for each hand. These wipes were wax strips I cut up but I now use the Magpie wipes as they have plastic backing helping prevent it overexposure on myself.
What would you say is the reasoning for lifting? I prepped the nail, used base coat and then give me strength, then colour and top coat. Gel keeps popping off whole and i dont know where im going wrong. Any advice is much appreciated x
Mine still pop off and I am paying very close attention to prep with alcohol, buffing, filing, and everything. not sure what I am doing wrong. (I don't block on thick layers as well)
I'm licensed in my state in the US. I've heard that some places won't ship polish overseas but then I've been told by people here in the US that they have bought polish online from Europe. Are you able to clear this up for me? I messaged Magpie but never got a response. I'd appreciate any insight you could give me. Thank you in advance! 💜💅

Sharon Hoelzle as far as I'm aware that's the only email address to email, however the Magpie team have been attending shows within the UK for the past couple of weeks and moved premises so please allow 24-48 hours for a response.
Are these going to be available for home users eventually do you know? I've been waiting for these to come out instead of ordering from madam glam but if they are only going to be for pro users I'll bit the bullet and do a large order from madam glam.
Ellen Jane no they will remain as a professional only Gel I'm afraid. But they're planning to do some Magpie education if you're in the U.K. But they will have a new website soon which to be able to buy the gels you will have to submit certificates.

Do you have to do 2 colour coats? I used this colour the other day and client was happy with just 1 x
Michelle Squire for natural nails I would suggest two layers but on acrylics etc you could just do one.
