In this video, I’m going to share with you, how to formula pig feed,
First part, I will talk about different 4 classes of pig feed component,
Then the second part, I will talk about 4types of pig feed as it compliment different ages of pig growth. Let jump into the first part; I will classify the pig feed into 4, namely;
1) Protein; is an important part of pig feed. The amount of protein required depends on the age of the pig. It helps to build and repair the pig body. A pig feed should have about 7% of lysine
Protein sources; 2 subtypes;
a) Plant protein source;
Groundnut cake/meal (GNC)
Soybean meal
Full fat soya
Sunflower meal
b) Animal protein source;
Blood meal
Fish meal
Bone meal

Feed formula for growers and finishers is okay for in-sows
While weaners feed formula for the nursing sows, in increased quantity too.

Haven put into practice your teachings,I noticed I'm not achieving good result as expected.
My pig are 4months old and the average weight is 22kg. That leaves with the question,what's going on wrong,quantity of feeding or quality of feds? Or what?

GNC is groundnut cake that's peanut.
cassava meal, after harvesting, slice into smaller parts, soak for 5days. separate from water then dry

Bird starter feed is more rich in protein and other vital nutrients than bird growers feed. Though bird starter feed will have a finer texture.
