I have caught up on your vlogmas. I was a bit behind, because it was my husband’s birthday and had a busy weekend. So it’s just past midnight in California (SFBay area) and I’m imagining you are just waking up. Watching your videos with all the festivities and those adorable buttons is so much fun. Thank you for being such a generous person, sharing all of your sewing plans and projects…such a pleasure 🥰
That’s such a lovely comment thank you so much x
I'm loving Becki's button advent. Today's are gorgeous 😍
Aren’t they amazing ❤️
I’m loving all the questions!
Thank you I really appreciate you commenting daily too
Loving all of your content and the insights you give us. I also found Sew over it when I decided that sewing was going to be my ‘thing’. Still follow them and Lisa. I too love the heather dress 😊
She is such an inspiration isn’t she! Even now when flower farming, just amazing
I'm hoping for a snuggly, snowy sewing day here in Maine, too! Hugs across the pond. 💜
Yay wow Maine that blows my mind! Have a lovely day
You have inspired me! so you are definitely passing evrything on x
❤️❤️❤️
Cara your party outfit looked lovely, I’m sure if you wore a black bin bag you would fabulous. Enjoying your vlogmas’s x🤣🎄
lol that’s so kind thank you!
Cara, your answers to the great Advent Calendar questions cemented my notion that we are sew sisters. I, too was inspired by many of the same vloggers and am in awe of Lisa Comfort. I’m now enjoying her flower farm. One of my favourite things about fabrics in my collection is “seeing” the garment I will make. Have a lovely, snuggly sewing day. x
Yay thank you Laura love that we are sew sisters. Absolutely true x I hope you’re having some sewing time too
Hi I am really enjoying your vlogmas its giving me inspiration to get back to my channel in the new year thanks for all your chats x
Yay go for it! I look forward to that
Good morning Cara! I'm so silly, but it's always such a surprise and gives me a lovely feeling when you're speaking directly to me. 😊 I love the more vintage feel of SOI when Lisa designed the patterns. I too have loads of them. I can only imagine at how many Lisa has inspired, taught, coached etc. I wasn't familiar with your other mentions, but thank you for addressing my question. Your evening outfit was perfect for the location and the time of year. Elegant, cozy and glitzy. I spent the evening sewing together the Jodi Dress from Tilly's Stretch book. The fabric is a beautiful light weight grey velvet with navy flowers on it. It looks like a burnout velvet. But, hmmm, I might have used the wrong velvet. The twist detail in the bodice is such a feature but the slightly raised flowers made the twist very meaty, shall we say. I'll finish it today and my friend is coming on Tuesday for a fitting. Good thing this is (or was supposed to be) a wearable toile in case the Fabric Godmother fabric was delayed. Not so confident this will fit her. I've made her several outfits in the past that she loves. I guess we all have oopses once in a while. Whoever is receiving the sweatshirts you are busy sewing up today will be over the moon! They are a wonderful, generous gift. It's already after 3 for you as I write this so I'm sure your sewing is well underway. Bye!
Thank you so much Rita I totally forget there is a time difference 😅 I love the sound of the dress you’re making hopefully when there’s a body in it the twist will work itself out and sit beautifully. Gosh lucky friend having clothes made by you, that’s just lovely. I always feel like I’m chatting with you regardless of how many are watching. I hope your fabric godmother fabric arrives soon, take care x
@@sosewmad Yes, 5 hour difference for you, 6 hr difference to my sisters in Germany and 3 hr difference to my son in Arizona. Time differences are pretty much ingrained in me now. Lol. Did you finish all your Ressac gifts? Have a lovely evening and sweet dreams.
Lovely vlog I’m sat seeing my advent embroidery xx
Hi Judy that sounds fabulous, thank you for watching x
