Haven't been flying or building for awhile. But always like seeing the Meister flyby ! Not that many new videos of these big gentle planes get posted anymore.. Thanks for uploading..Looks like a sweet DR1 as well.
Great looking plane and you fly it so well!!! I have one of these, partially built fuse, and I am struggling with if I should add flaps and modify the stab from the flat sheet. It doesn’t appear you changed either and your plane flies so nicely. What engine are you using?
Hi. 👋 thank you I really enjoy flying this one and probably my favourite plane I’ve owned. She’s just a big floater and doesn’t need any flaps. I can’t take any credit for the build. This was built almost 20 years ago believe it or not and was built for liteness. He wanted to keep it simple so didn’t build it with flaps. if you can keep yours lite enough you won’t need the flaps. So even though the tail stab is flat section it still provides so much lift. If you get the incidence right you will be fine. You could modify it for a more aerodynamic section but it doesn’t really need it on this kit anyways. This one is powered by a 3w60cc on a custom built exhaust. Best of luck with your build. If you stick to the plan you’ll have a lovely flying machine. Take care and happy flying 🤛🤩

Had to come back and rewatch ;)
Nice flight! Looks so graceful. What engine are you running?
