"So the world's thrown into chaos, earthquakes, floods, but that's fine, you knit your sock!" I'm a knitter and I always think of this episode when I'm knitting.
I crochet, and in a way I feel the same way. 😅. It does take a day to crochet a sock, non stop, in a simple pattern, so in reality this sentence makes sense. Especially when Nastya asked the sun to stay down longer. Edit:I now knit and not going back.
Thank you so much for adding the subtitles. That’s the only complaint I can give the MST3K producers: not adding closed captions or subtitles to any episode. Unfortunately for hearing impaired people, the only production that has ever had them was the 1996 movie. 😞
You're most welcome! I'd like MST3K to be as accessible as possible, so I'm also frustrated that there aren't subtitles available for the original seasons, and that's ultimately why I decided to write them myself. Thank goodness Netflix fixed this problem for the new seasons!
I'm born hard of hearing, alot of stuff I watch don't have subtitles to them but I know them so well, even by heart because I love them so much. Especially this movie, I know this by heart. As a suggestion I wouldn't give up on anything you watch if you love it, like this show. Just try your best to listen to it.
Thanks, I'm trying to share MST with a deaf fan I know in Warcraft, and it just seems like the best way for people unfamiliar with the material to tell the humor from the awful dialog. :)
That's very noble of you to do that. I'm hard of hearing, I never watch this show with the subtitles, and I do believe that the show actually has their own subtitles to it here on TH-cam. Those with deaf ears wouldn't know who is talking so I can see your point on that.
Thanks, Paul! Sorry to hear that there's only the one. :( And I still haven't gotten around to color coding my SRTs. Time seems to be a precious commodity that eludes me these days for projects like this.
Am I the only one that noticed that Baba Yaga (The "Hunchback Fairy") is barely in this condensed version? Kinda wish there were more of these. Definitely more episodes of MST3K with subtitles would be nice.
Howdy! That's a fantastic idea. In the subtitle format I use to create these (SRT), it does look like I can add color tags. I'm not sure how much effort it would take, and I don't know if TH-cam would support the end product, but I can look into it. Thanks!
@@GrayCarper Wow! Good to know you're still keeping up with these. This one is my favorite episode, I pretty much know it by heart, so the error was easy to spot. :P I've wanted to do something like this for ages but I'm no good with tech. I might just have a look through what you've done and see if I can help with any other corrections.
I'd welcome your proofing! And this is definitely one of my favorite episodes too. (I actually know someone who grew up in Russia and used to watch the original unMSTied version as a child during the holidays.) I only ever got around to producing four episode edits like this, I'm sorry to say, because the amount of free time I had to do them dwindled. Fingers-crossed that one day I'll be able to do more.
Just an FYI, for Tak, "MST3K : The Movie" has captions, if you can find a copy of the DVD somewhere. I've looked for other fan-made captions for years but Gray's here are the only ones I've ever found.
That's a mighty awesome thing to do! Have you run into any other subtitled episodes other than the three condensed ones I've uploaded? I've never found any (believe me, I wouldn't have done it myself if I didn't have to ;>), and that's mucho unfortunate.

Best line: "This is the sun. Your call is very important to us, but due to unusually high call volume..." ahahahaha
"& you are...?"

How are you in 2024 😎
Oh, jeeze, I stepped in my own scat.
Am I the only one that noticed that Baba Yaga (The "Hunchback Fairy") is barely in this condensed version?

Rifftrax did their version, and I saw it. What I didn't know was that it was sort of like a musical. I got freaked out when Ivaniska sang.

7:33 seconds best line in that movie
10:06 small correction: winds, not woods
Ah! Thank you! I just made the correction.

Where's the Sampo?
So close.
The episode is called The Day the Earth Froze

Ahhh!!!!
Have you considered doing the subtitles different colors for the movie and for them?
This is one of my favorite gay hero movies 💯
This is disgusting fasho! 😂😂☠️
Every time I meet a man, he's either gay, or a bear. 😂🤣
