One thing my choir teacher said that stuck with me was, “the first verse of a song should be conversational, almost. Don’t try to give away all your power at the beginning, make it seem like you’re telling the listener a story” and I like that

I just discovered this video, and you immediately had my attention! When I sing along with songs I can nail it! But then when it’s just me and I can hear me, I fall apart lol

Yes the coaches I work with in Nashville teach the mix like this.. now I’ve got muscle memory to get the right sound in the right places.. we use a wah wah too.. and several other tools, to keep the dopey sound of chest mixed with pharyngeal 🎉

OH WOW SUPER COOL AWESOME!!!!! I was looking for a bass guitar tutorial in the Key of D and found this! I am not the kind to buy on a whim but you sister got it going on!!! Do you happen to know of anyone that could make a karaoke for this song? with the backing vocals with it? I can find ones but they took the backing vocals out and i tend to have a hard time singing the parts by my self where there should be the backing vocals.

How is this in the key of D? There are no C#s. The chords are G, C and D. Classic 1, 4, 5.
Hey Keith! This song is actually in the key of D (I based this off the original recording) - it's not a typical 1 4 5 chord structure... it uses the C which is an unusual chord for this key!
