This was the video I have always been waiting to watch. Taiwan is my #1 favorite country because of its beautiful landscapes, warm-hearted people, and delicious food. Some of the spots you visited are ones I explored during my trip this past summer. Jiufen Old Street was a highlight for me. I really enjoyed tasting street food like rice balls, tea eggs, and browsing the souvenir shops. My family and I are planning to return this December and celebrate Christmas/New Year there. If you visit again, I recommend staying longer - my family and I stayed for almost a month. Taiwan has so much more interesting places to explore that I have never visited.
I’m so happy I finally finished this vlog. Because I recorded so many videos, it took a really long time to put them all together 🥳🥳🥳. I think this was the longest time I stayed, it was usually just a day or two stopover. It was an amazing trip that I went to so many places and interests and ate a lot of yummy food 🍲. I like those traditional places like the Jiufen old street. I wish I could stay for a month . ❤️❤️❤️
Taiwan, an absolute jewel in Asia. Full of contrasts from high tech new and modern to shabby chic to old and traditional, each enhances the other to make an island that is alive, vibrant, happy and FREE, FREE as it should always be. Thank you for sharing this trip, beautifully filmed, it was like being there, I enjoyed it all. As I have got older (not old yet) I too, now enjoy my own company and prefer to solo travel when I can. The only thing I find slightly awkward is places to eat and drink, because these are usually populated by people with others sharing, talking having fun and just enjoying the moment, I find myself staring at my phone but I'll get over it. Being Western, I find much of the food combinations you enjoy challenging, I have very plain tastes these days, but I do share your indulgence for the slightly sweeter yummy side of life.
Yes, it is indeed a jewel in Asia. The landscape is very beautiful, the food is really delicious and the people there are very friendly and polite 🙂🙂🙂. As I got older, I started to travel by myself more and enjoy this because not compatible travel partners may make the trip a disaster. The only thing is there is no one to share food to try more variety 😛😛😛, oh and the cost of accommodation is also more expensive as no one to share 🥲. After watching this it brought back all the memories of my family and me in Taiwan. Being fluent in both Mandarin and Taiwanese, I feel deeply connected to Taiwan, and I can’t wait to return this December. If I could explore anywhere in Taipei, it would be Yangmingshan. It’s up on a mountain with stunning views of the entire city, plus the best tea and delicious food. Favorite dessert would be shaved ice.
I heard other cities like Tainan, Kaohsiung, etc are beautiful places too . And don’t forget to eat Mochi cakes 😬😬😬. Wish you a great time there when you go in December ❤️❤️❤️.

When my family and I stayed in Taipei, our room also had an amazing view of Taipei 101 and the city. We stayed at 麗晶酒店, which was an incredible hotel with excellent service/delicious food and beautifully designed rooms. The location was perfect for exploring the city. We’ll definitely stay here again when we come back this December.

You were very well informed about where to go and what to see..I noticed that the population of Taiwan is very young.and there are no western tourists at all. There are not as many western travelers in Taipei than in Bangkok or Japan, but I did see some . There were some at the memorial hall as well. I am glad a friend was taking me to Jiufen old street, otherwise I would do more work to find the route . It is much easier for me as everywhere is in Chinese 😬. I am also hotel-ohlic; but wouldn't change three hotels on a vacation :). Mariott was better of the lot with skyline and airport view and yes; Marriott breakfast is one of the industry best. In-between nice video and happy travels.

歡迎再來台灣玩，台北還有不少景點，像是淡水(捷運紅線搭到底)、平溪(從瑞芳車站出發很快就到了)也都是觀光客常去的地方
還有高雄也很美，下次也可以考慮去高雄
然後台灣夏天午後5天有4天都會有短暫超大雷雨，下次來也許可以考慮買雙goretex健走鞋比較方便

I remember also staying at the Marriott Sheraton Hotel in Taipei. Their dinner at the lounge was great and the breakfast downstairs was huge!
