Daki and Guuytaro had a very sad past, but somehow I’m happy because in the end they cared for each other and were together even after death. They felt like the most human demons so far, I enjoy thinking like that for those two. I also believe that from 100 years from this point, or in future japan in their world they get reincarnated as siblings with a better life, just as Daki said.

If you guys haven’t noticed, in previous episodes, when Daki (or Ume) is burnt by Nezuko’s demon blood art, she actually had a flash back on how she was killed by burning when she was still a human.
This was a great season of demon slayer, gyutaro is such a top tier character, his life was shit yet he still looked out for his sister, even was willing to go to hell by himself so she could go to heaven. Also inosuke yelling "feed me!" After basically dying had me rolling 😂
Doma is mentally ill like that. He was born a psychopath. Even at a young age, he could not discern right from wrong. His idea of preserving life is eating people (particularly women), so that they could live inside him for all eternity. Now, whether his intention is malicious or just misguided naivety is questionable. He's still in the wrong, but for almost all demons, there's always a reasoning behind their actions.

Nezuko’s Demon art doesn’t heal them exactly. It’s fire that only damages demons and demon arts. So it wouldn’t work on normal poison. But since Gyutaro’s poison is a demon art she could destroy it

When Tanjiro told Gyutaro he is lying, man... That really got me.. Guy got sliced up, stabbed, fingers broken and beaten to pulp, yet he still shows kindness to them
Gyutaro and Tanjiro have a lot in common. Both are the elder brother who care about his sister a lot. Both was born poor and must take on the man of the house role because of the lack of a father. And before stricken with tragedy, both had a hopeful outlook about the future. Both have to look after his sister because they cannot function independently after they turned demon. And they are both rescued by a commander of the current group they belong to: Doma for Gyutaro and Ginyu for Tanjiro.
Fun fact: Daki's real name Ume is described as 梅 in Japanese. The meaning of 梅 (ume) usually is "plum" and it was popular name in old Japan. However, when we talk about venereal disease, there is a name of disease using this letter called "梅毒” (Baidoku, means " syphilis"). Her name was taken from that disease name that's why Gyutaro said her name was pretty bad in this case. I think even some of young Japanese people wouldn't understand it.

That's why I really like Demon Slayer. Its not some black and white trope where demons are just there for the sake of the story. They turn out to be humans who went to the dark side because of their respective circumstances, which shows that even without being a demon, humans have an evil side to them which drove some of these demons to be what they are now.

The content is a bit sensitive so if you don't like it, I'll delete this comment. Daki is written in Kanji as "堕姫" ."堕"means "Fallen" and "姫" means "princess. With in the story ,Guutaro said that Ume was named after the disease that killed their mother. Ume is written in Kanji as "梅" and We Japanese fans think it comes from "梅毒" that means syphilis. This is why Guutaro thought Ume was pretty bad,too. Guutaro is written in Kanji as "妓夫太郎" . 妓夫太郎 is a position name which means a peroson who extracts money or something. I love Guutaro and Daki. I want they are getting along with each other forever.
Their past was just tragic the only Beauty in it was their unconditional love for each other. I teared up the moment Gyutaro's What ifs on ume's life appeared... I just love THEM.
Gyutaro, Daki and Akaza are the ones with more pieces of humanity in them, which is cool! Didn’t like that they lied about the finale being extended because it was short but until next time! Muichiro and Mitsuri are coming!

I think Gyotarou had the sadder one. Akaza atleast had a choice. Gyotarou had nothing, the only thing he considered that was given to him was Ume... He never regretted anything, personally many people would regret lot of things but he was selfless. All his desires were never for him. Compared to people who had nothing, he literally got stripped of many things from the start. He got beaten up by his mother and attempted to murder him. He was bullied, imagine being thrown rocks as a kid and no adult cared to defend you. Akaza had many choices, he could have chosen not to kill. He was given the talent, the body, and he could have easily lived his life if he chose to. But Gyotarou never had a life, he spent his life raising his sister and even that was taken from him.
As a brother this scene really hit me hard. I couldn't stop my tears and I could really relate to Gyutaro even though he was the villain. Amazing episode and really good story telling from the authors and animators. 👍
I have to be honest. Gyutaro abd Daki’s backstory is one of the saddest for the demons. Burned alive by the people you trusted and turned into a demon without consent to only save your ‘brother’. Then realizing how much he needed to be with ‘Ume’… Gyutaro regretted everything. It’s so sad. Those are the only demons I’ve ever cried for. ❤️🩹
I agree with that one guy about how certain backstories might not hit, after seeing a demons former life you can't help but feel pity but some backstories can feel super last minute. However Daki and Gyutaros have to be the best ones so far

I realized many reactors don't realize that Nezuko's demon art is not healing but the destruction/cancellation of other demon arts, I thought it would be pretty obvious with the information from season 1
In the official fanbook, the author said that Daki stabbed the samurai because he was insulting Gyuutaro and I think that's a very meaningful detail showing how the siblings would always risk their life for each other i love them sm

You became emotional watching Daki and Gyuutaros past wait till you see Akaza's past. Actually these two are the only demons you will feel sad and might cry. The rest are just demons.

Ume is written in Kanji as "梅" and We Japanese fans think it comes from "梅毒" that means syphilis.
This is why Guutaro thought Ume was pretty bad,too.

I think Gyotarou had the sadder one. Akaza atleast had a choice. Gyotarou had nothing, the only thing he considered that was given to him was Ume... He never regretted anything, personally many people would regret lot of things but he was selfless. All his desires were never for him. Compared to people who had nothing, he literally got stripped of many things from the start. He got beaten up by his mother and attempted to murder him. He was bullied, imagine being thrown rocks as a kid and no adult cared to defend you. Akaza had many choices, he could have chosen not to kill. He was given the talent, the body, and he could have easily lived his life if he chose to. But Gyotarou never had a life, he spent his life raising his sister and even that was taken from him.

As a brother this scene really hit me hard. I couldn't stop my tears and I could really relate to Gyutaro even though he was the villain. Amazing episode and really good story telling from the authors and animators. 👍

I have to be honest. Gyutaro abd Daki’s backstory is one of the saddest for the demons. Burned alive by the people you trusted and turned into a demon without consent to only save your ‘brother’. Then realizing how much he needed to be with ‘Ume’… Gyutaro regretted everything. It’s so sad. Those are the only demons I’ve ever cried for. ❤️🩹

I agree with that one guy about how certain backstories might not hit, after seeing a demons former life you can't help but feel pity but some backstories can feel super last minute. However Daki and Gyutaros have to be the best ones so far
