I want credit where credit is due. Player coaches is not new but the way our team has done it has revolutionized our football team. It’s a players team in the most healthy way possible. There is accountability because the coaches have been in the trenches. That makes coaching and accountability easier in the sense of having hard talks with your players. Kudos to Dan too for mentoring his staff to give them more opportunities
That’s what I said last year. Dude is infance and holds pleasers accountable. I still remember when Aubrey Pleasant was the DB coach and had no passion or care when his DB’s were missing assignments. just stood there with his hands in his pockets then Shep lit into the DB and just gave him a look of disgusts . Next week Aubrey was fired. I think Shep is ready to lead the Defense next year
My goodness, how did they find these coaches? Who was that genius or geniuses? That will be a future NFL Film. This man is a great man and leader and someone in the organization picked him out. That is the real story we will be reading about soon.
Funny, i didnt even think about all the white linebackers on the lions til he said that. I think shep will be DC next year unless he either bolts with AG or he gets a head coaching job himself this year. It's very clear from literally everything that MCDC has lead by example with (1) no ego (2) no quit (3) no excuses (4) treat people with respect (5) let your backups / subordinates grow and give them more and more work. The players love the coaches, the coaches all seem to love being here, you never hear a bad word from anyone about anyone even on other teams, they are ALL super respectful to the media, and MCDC goes out of his way to compliment guys that the media never asks about and i know those guys have to love and appreciate that. I fully expect in 5-7 years we'll be talking about the Campbell coaching tree.
He isn't going to another team to be defense coordinator unless Glenn doesn't get a job and he surely is not going anywhere to be a head coach yet no one is doing that it would be way too early you could never sell him to a fan base
Did you watch the interview lol? It's the opposite. He literally says "I have one of the whitest linebacker rooms in the NFL and I love it". He literally says "football breaks down barriers between people." His point was that race doesn't matter when it comes to football and the Detroit Lions and Dan Campbell (who is white lol) let him be who he is. How tf is that the race card lol?
Wow, amazing, thoughtful interview. Keep on trucking Coach Shep
We love Shep! Glad to see him get some shine. He’s an awesome part of the staff
I'ma gonna remember this 2024 team forever.
Just the beginning mark my words!!

Our next DC Kelvin Sheppard guaranteed no setback
Go Lions 🦁
Next year defensive coordinator
Why does she talk like that 😂😂😂
I was just gonna say the same thing. Haha
Talk like what?
All I see and hear is substance… someone who knows the game and a professional who came prepared.
@ it’s not what she said, its how she says it. Her voice starts out clear and gradually trails off into a low gutteral tone towards the end.
The race card😮
Ain’t no race card that’s life for some of us

@trumobbhollyhood3785 Ain't no white privilege either, its class privilege, which includes all races.
