      I have confidence that you can do it!!! I really am trying to explain each step so it's clear. I know sometimes I backtrack on what I'm saying and then I never get to the original point I was trying to make. LOL! I am so glad I have inspired you! 😊😊😊

    That’s my favorite color of Felici!

      It really is beautiful. Too bad there's no more felici, apparently they will have a new self striping line soon.

      @@aquilladahun-aleftyknitter yes! How could they not keep felici?!?!?! I’ll be interested to see the new Italian self striping…and at what price point they bring it in at with all of their other price hikes they’ve been doing.

    Interesting! When I saw the title I thought you would be using the ribber in a different way!

    Thanks for doing the Socktober series, it has been great to see the various projects/challenges/chat/etc done back to back.
    My Erlbacher arrived this Saturday, completed a couple pairs of socks Sunday (one that is essentially your ‘regular’ hung hem and one tabbed shorty) while going back and watching all of these videos from Socktober #1 and they have been great!
    I’d been watching most every CSM video I could find since early summer since deciding to order from Erlbacher, and these have been not only very timely for me, but great info! I’m sure I will go back multiple times to rewatch various videos.
    QUESTION (if you’ve made it this far into this way too long comment): as a hand knitter, I feel like the gauge I want in socks requires the brake to be on for the complete sock. Are you finding your socks are durable enough at the looser gauge when only using the brake on the heels/toes?

      Ohhh that is so exciting. Congrats on getting your csm. I know I also watched EVERY video I could find. But having the machine to watch and also crank at the same time, helped make sense of it all.
      I wear my socks alot. Also my mom and I have not had to fix any socks, yet. My gauge is still pretty good without the spring and comparable to my hand knitting. So I think the wear will depend on the yarn, the shoes, the amount of wear, etc. If you ever have any further questions. Please feel free to reach out. 😊

    I finally used the fishing line, and it's a total game changer!! Do you have a shoet video that shows how you thread it on the mast? Or do you hold it?

    • @aquilladahun-aleftyknitter
      @aquilladahun-aleftyknitter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love using rip cord! I'm glad you gave it a try. I don't have a specific video. But I thread it through my mast just like any other yarn.

    I also wear size 11 but I also have very thick wide feet. Most of my footwear comes from the men's department because I have yet to find anyplace that carries woman's shoes wide enough(without having them custom made).

      @aquilladahun-aleftyknitter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And it's crazy because size 11 isn'tTHAT uncommon!

      No, but in men's shoes I wear a 9 1/2 4E wide shoe. The 11s the have. If I get a women's shoe that fits the thickness of my foot I'd have to get like a 13 or something and then it's massively to long.

    So, am going to try a mock rib and revisited this video. Question I have is, why not leave the needles in, in a lifted position, instead of taking them out when cranking the mock rib?😊

      @aquilladahun-aleftyknitter  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question. I guess you could do that. I never thought of that. I have always seen people take then out. But now I am interested. If you do try it that way, will you please update me!!!?? 😊😊😊

      I chickened out and did it without needles. Wish I could figure out how to add a photo here. I received good info from the Erlbacher Group. Someday I'm going to try it on a sample, tho.

      @denisen3383 ok I have been thinking about this and it will not work. It creates a strand of yarn on the outside of the needle that is lifted. It will not go down in the cylinder correctly. When you lift a needle out of work, you can crank 2 rows and then put it back in work. It will then be knitting 3 strands of yarn from the original stitch and the 2 cranks. You remove them so the strands go down into the cylinder. You can always send me pics on instragram @aleftyknitterpodcast
