I think the crinkled fabric would have worked better if the dress had a more intricate design. I get that it was very high quality and constructed very well. But the design is too simple and it made the dress just look un-ironed, and the crinkle didn't feel as purposeful in the piece.
Not a fan of the crinkles, even if it was intentional. For the majority of people not in the know (including myself), I thought the dress had wrinkled throughout the day and the camera picked it all up. Would definitely have preferred something different for Quinta. The outfit also made her look "too young". It read prom dress or quinceanera. Would have loved to see her step out in something a bit more elegant and mature. Of course, just my two cents. The main thing is that Quinta won and she made history. No hate just love.
I do love this classic Hair & MU on her, it’s just flawless! The dress fit beautifully but ii was disappointed with the wrinkles and it felt a little boring. Preferred her Golden Globes dress and when Bryon Javar was styling her period… she always just stood out and SHONE in a way I can’t describe ✨
