This is the epitome of disco around 1977. Times were wild. People experimenting with lifestyles and well, sex and going to the big clubs, which was a new thing starting with disco music
A Lost Eldorado😢😢😢😢
Oh man! Hadn't heard this song forever! Was in my sister's disco collection back in the late 70s. Peace!
Oh man, I love this song! I think this song was the first to use the "ooh-ooh" thing. After this song, it began to appear in other disco and dance songs.
It was the first. I was a Nightclub DJ during the late 70's and through the 80's into the early 90's. This was one of my first Club Hits.
I thought it was the other way around. The producer was asked to take advantage of the chant and make it the focus of the song, instead of a byproduct, as it had been in other songs.
@@theontologist Could be. I don't really know. All I know is that the "ooh ooh" thing began to appear in lots of songs after this.
@@bryanCJC2105 I just repeat what I read on Wikipedia :-)
Anyone who owned the Studio 54 double album circa 1977/1978 must remember this funky tune!!😎👍
That clarinet/ cornet interplay is just genius...
Clarinette it’s was for look like électronic Sound 👀
You're both right. A clarinet is a horn, but categorized as a "woodwind". It does use a reed, which is made of wood, thus "woodwind". hadn't heard this song in decades! Thanks for the reaction! ✌💙✌
WHEN MUSIC SHAKED YOU INSIDE AND OUTSIDE, WHEN MASTERPIECES WERE OUT WITH THE NECESSARY TECHNOLOGY OF THOSE TIMES ,WHEN YOU WENT TO THE DISCO TO DANCE AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS ,ALL THIS DURING MY NOW GONE YOUTH, AND NOW I AM STILL DANCING TO THIS SONG EVEN THOUGH I AM AN ADULT.. GREETINGS FROM ITALY 🇮🇹
So fun watching this video , this is me back in 1981 when I got my first high end stereo system with a technics mk1200 and playing all my newly bought 12" singles through my new headphones , and damn did it sound insane , nothing like good quality disco through nice headphones , and yes I believe it was a clarinet in the early break , this classic was rotated a million times on radio when it was first released, disco fans loved it , the rockers hated it . Let's all chant came out when I was still a Jr in hs , I didn't start buying disco music until 1980 and it was a lot of backtracking .
LA grande creativita' degli anni '70 / '80 .... poche parole TANTA MUSICA ^_^
My band director mind is exploding listening how they’re describing the clarinet.
Didn't realize until now there was a clarinet and harpsichord in the song
stunning song for every person in the world
Omg flashback I forgot about this song and now I'm gonna go play it 5 times and dance!!!
1978 ... How we would like to go back to that time ...
Y lo más impresionante de todo es que michael uso sintetizadores para crear la melodía
Also featured in the movie Eyes of Laura Mars. They have the scene on youtube.
It was a popular song in the discos especially the full 12" version. Every DJ remixed it.
Great times. Great memories.
I forgot this one. I don’t think I’ve heard this in over 40 years! It was big in it’s time though; like “Hooked On A Feeling,” it had an unusual hook. When I saw the thumbprint I knew it had to be this song though I never knew the name back then.
Madre santa que tema tan lindo tarde años para saber quien lo interpretaba Es de cuando era un jovenazo de 16 años .Que tiempos aquellos
That song is amazing, thank you guys
Love the Disco era. Such fun music. Need to check out Keep on Dancing by Garys Gang
That definitely was a clarinet, followed by a harpsicord. You all got it. Loved your reaction.
Disco moves and elegant shirt and tie are a cool combo.
You guys are cool. Always loved this song. Love from UK.
Eyes of Laura Mars
Clarinet, harpsichord, trumpet in that order.
Studio 54 🎉😮
Ooooh! Look at the both of you, so good looking!
Looking good people 👌
Good one. I don't think I've heard this since when it was popular.
A deep cut classic!
This is an awesome song,
Theres a video of this song from the musicladen show featuring the gogo dancers that i know for sure every guy will really really appreciate, girls not so much,
But 100% worth it.
Yeah, lots of bush!
I'm convinced that the full gogo girls version is the greatest music video of all time.
@@bloodclot I am inclined to agree with you.
Everybody Skate! & Get Down!
Roll bounce!
Damn I had forgotten this song until I saw the title
.....fun fact...WHITNEY and CISSY HOUSTON...are singing on this song...MICHAEL wanted to sign her to the record label he was on but CISSY said that WHITNEY was too young...this song is also featured in the murder mystery film...THE EYES OF LAURA MARS...it a very chic film because the lead actress is a fashion photographer...and the song is pumping during a high fashion shoot...it's a great film...very stylish and sexy...
It was definitely a clarinet. An it sounds beautiful
The clip with the girls dancing with some see through outfits is one of the sexiest clips EVER
Love this one
Genius of a song
You must do Gary's Gang. Keep on Dancing. I was a club D.J. back then. Still have my Technics 1200 mk2 turntables. Clarinet is woodwind. Woodwind means it has a reade. Flute is brass. Flute has no reade.
this music sounds like a hip horror movie
You guys looks so sharp !!
Asia is right. It is a clarinet.
IT IS A CLARENET YOUR RIGHT MISS
I remember this song for sure but not the band name... it is a good dance song though.
It is
Muito bom
Never heard it before. Disco ball a poppin
She got a deep voice
