There is a myth that you can solve a scrambled Rubik’s cube with two moves… it does not work but it does on a 2x1 Puzzle!!

Fun fact: if you perform those 2 moves, you can only affect and turn the 2 edges, while the other parts of the cube aren’t even affected, which basically makes it obviously a scam

The only time this trick can work is when the 3x3 cube is solved.

It technically works. They do this by doing the R U' method till the cube is mixed (from solved) then they continue it. it takes 100 moves if im not wronh

Non-cubers, this is a scam. There actually is a sequence you can repeat to solve a cube called the “Devil’s Algorithm”. It is thousands of moves long and you would have to repeat it billions of times to solve a cube so real cubers use methods like CFOP or Roux to solve. Try and learn the beginners method first. Dont give up learning as it may be hard at first. Happy cubing and welcome to the cubing community!

That's not solving that's just doing the same moves over and over any combination of moves no matter how long if it repeats enough will end up at a solved state if it started solved

When you do those two moves on a regular tunic cube it only works if it was solved before hand bc after a while it turns into the state it was started at

If you do RU 7 times, all edges come vack, but not a cycle of 5 corners and a single orientated corner.
21 times, only 5 corners. And every 15 RU, all corners come back, except for tje edges.

Fun fact: if you do it on solved 2x2 cube, then it will get scrambled, but after some more moves it will solve it agian.
Same on 3x3 but that's not solving because any moves repeated will do that on any cube if it starts solved
Actually it works kind of because when it is actually solved already and do these two moves it actually solves

it’s like saying “oh just shuffle a deck of playing cards over and over again and it’ll go back in order” like no duh. eventually it’ll probably work but it’s still time consuming and you’ll probably need to do that for hours
The trick with the 3/3/3 where you do 2 moves over and over and over again does work… if you start doing it from a solved state and make 0 mistakes. I’m not kidding if you have a cube near you solve it (or if it’s already solved even better) then just do R then U and just keep repeating it will take a while but it works if not a single mistake is made

Devil's algorithm isn't that simple.
If you have the cube not scrambled, it you do those moves 63 times it will go back to the original state
Any moves repeated will do that on a solved cube since it's not actually solving
If you had a solved cube in the first place and do those 2 moves than it would actually solve!
Thats not actually solving it since it starts solved any moves repeated on a solved cube will bring it back to solved
Back then I believed this and I would be scared to mess up my pace and every time I did, I would just give up and scramble it all (even though it already is scrambled 💀)

@@Cibnobi ok 2x2 doesnt have as many possible scrambles as a 3x3,so you can solve a 2x2 by just doing random moves,what happen on your case was that you got good luck and got such a scramble that made it possible to finish it in only the 2 moves,but that is just on some situations like yours,on most scrambles it doesnt work.
