As adults we tend to forget that things like that truly matter when you're that age. While it _is_ important to teach children that the world won't always go their way, you should be careful to not to dismiss their concerns out of hand. You should also pick your battles. I'm the oldest brother to a little sister 8yrs younger than me. This brings me back to those days when I would carry her. Definitely brought a smile to my face.
My daughter was mid-yelling at her brother when a plate dropped and shattered on the floor. He was barefoot. She didn't even stop yelling when she immediately picked him up and carried him out of the kitchen without missing a beat. Yelled the whole way into our sitting room. Set him down on the chair and continued her yelling. It was the funniest and sweetest thing I've ever seen. Fighting like cats and dogs and she saved his feet from broken shards. Kids are literally the best. ♥️
Kids are so funny like that. My daughter will argue with her brother as well but as soon as something happens she will be there like are you ok first aid kit and all 😂🤣. I don’t have siblings so I don’t understand them. But as much as they argue they love each other so much

When you have a good big brother, you're one of the luckiest people in the world. My brother let me tag along after him, helped me get my first car, bailed me out of trouble soooo many times as a teenager. Always knew I could rely on him.

Even when I was being an asshole, loyalty is huge to me, so it wasn't like I was betraying him in any way. If he wanted me to do something for him, I did it. (Our parents were crazy pants, so he and I banded together to take care of our siblings.) I make his favorite dishes at his birthday and special occasions. And since he's the only guy in the family, I always helped him with the heavy lifting and harder chores. I kept his secrets and me and my sisters helped him surprise propose to his wifey.

Thank you guys so much! He was an amazing big brother who taught me lots of lessons on life that I use even now. He took his own life in 2015 and it's left all of us in shambles. The second oldest missed Tony so much he ended up passing due to alcohol abuse, leaving the youngest brother and I. My daughter was mid-yelling at her brother when a plate dropped and shattered on the floor. He was barefoot. She didn't even stop yelling when she immediately picked him up and carried him out of the kitchen without missing a beat. Yelled the whole way into our sitting room. Set him down on the chair and continued her yelling. It was the funniest and sweetest thing I've ever seen. Fighting like cats and dogs and she saved his feet from broken shards. Kids are literally the best. ♥️
Kids are so funny like that. My daughter will argue with her brother as well but as soon as something happens she will be there like are you ok first aid kit and all 😂🤣. I don’t have siblings so I don’t understand them. But as much as they argue they love each other so much

Even when I was being an asshole, loyalty is huge to me, so it wasn't like I was betraying him in any way. If he wanted me to do something for him, I did it. (Our parents were crazy pants, so he and I banded together to take care of our siblings.) I make his favorite dishes at his birthday and special occasions. And since he's the only guy in the family, I always helped him with the heavy lifting and harder chores. I kept his secrets and me and my sisters helped him surprise propose to his wifey.

Thank you guys so much! He was an amazing big brother who taught me lots of lessons on life that I use even now. He took his own life in 2015 and it's left all of us in shambles. The second oldest missed Tony so much he ended up passing due to alcohol abuse, leaving the youngest brother and I. My brother was much older than me, he was in senior year in highschool when I was barely in 4th grade. I remember him taking me all around town while he went to do teenager stuff, we had a rough up bringing but he was always really strong for his younger siblings. I miss him so much and now that I'm 21 and starting college, I feel this knot in my stomach bc I know he never got the chance. He's forever 28 years old.
