Some 20 years ago, or so, before cell phones/mobiles and the internet brought foreign movies to the Indian viewers more easily, the public, and the censor board would have been shocked to see Indian actors and actresses kissing on screen.
All actors and actresses actually had it written into their contracts that they would not be doing any kissing on screen. Salmaan still has that proviso in his contract. He says he wouldn't want to make his mom uncomfortable watching him kissing.
Just think, all of those movies and no one kissed. Ever. It was an art form to ALMOST kiss, but not quite. Lol!
