That red diesel in the beginning somewhat reminds me of a Class 03 or an 04 we have in the UK.
Yes you are quite correct. The Mt. Lyell Railway had two of these Drewry diesels, both built in 1953 for use between the non-rack section of track between Regatta Point (Strahan) and Dubbil Barril. Both locos are still in use today (AFAIK) on the West Coast Wilderness Railway.
